2008 offseason

I think the 2008 offseason was a series of gambles. Hits: They took a chance on Antonio Bryand after he had offseason troubles and missed all of the previous year. He played like an all-pro and a one man receiving corps. There was a lot of public pressure to dump Jeremy Stephens because of his past problems off the field. Most of the problems were about ten years ago and again he shone as a legitimate matchup nightmare. Other teams passed on Taqib Alib after his issues with drugs. He looked sensational as a rookie and I don't know how they can keep him off the field next year. He should start. MIsses: Dexter Jackson couldn't take three steps without falling down. He ultimately admitted that he didn't want to be hit. He is undersized and from a goofy Apalachian St team. Would he be here if they hadn't upset Michigan in his senior season? Probably not. Dre Thomas was a guy who dropped in the draft boards for taking plays off and having attitude problems. He was a guy with talent and the dreaded "Potential" but apparently never came close to making the team. It seems like there were others but I can't think of them right now.
