Do You Write Down Your Ideas Before You Start New Discussions?

or do you just post here and wait for something to click for you to start a New discussion? Personally for me, I now have a notebook with me no matter where I go, and am always writing things down. Sometimes it might be for things I will consider posting in here as a New Discussion or articles I am considering posting in Associated Content or somewhere else as well.
As one of my dreams is to be a Published author I find my mind always racing with New thoughts and ideas and I feel that if I do not have a notebook around me all of the time I might think of something and if I don't write it down then, I will forget it and hate myself for doing so as well. One thing for sure is that being an active member here in myLot has helped me to become more creative and let my mind flow more as well.
So do you have a notebook nearby you, or do you just post here in myLot and if a New idea pops in your head you'd like to share here, you just enter it, and hope for the best from there?

Sometimes I do write it out in my notebook of what am going to post in my discussions but certain issue just come up to my mind when I read discussions here which I think can be made into another interesting topic then I'll just directly create a discussion on the spot without having to create a script. I agree with you that being a regular in mylot has trained our mind to be more creative .

hi zandi, were actually the same,i do write sometimes though i'll always have a paper and pen with me but most often i'll go straight to the discussions and from there i get ideas and participate in the thread.im a newbie here in mylot i agree too being a regular here really trained our minds to gives us many ideas and learn out from this:)

yes i am writing in a piece of paper about my discussion specialy if i´m in the kitchen and think of something that i need to discuss.

I don't mark down ideas for here, but I do for my ac articles, I am always adding new ideas, because I try to write a story a day.

I do exactly the same. I have a small notebook and pen in my bag so if ever I think of something I can jot it down where ever I am. If I think of soemthing when I am out and about I will always forget it by the time I have got home and able to write it down!! 
I also keep pen and paper beside my bed because I usually get some sort of inspiration just as I am drifting off to sleep!!

I don't write down the discussions but I do make a note of the topic when one come to mind. My memory is not as good as used to be so I jot it down. I carry a nope pad in my purse any way so I use it. I have another site where I do posting and I like to write down things for that one to. I do write more notes for the other site. And since I have joined MyLot it has helped too you can get some good tips and information from these sites.

I don't need to write down my ideas before I start new discussions. If I am out I just keep things in my head until I get home, and then type them directly into the appropriate interest category. If I am at home near my computer, I don't have to go that far to be able to write them down, and I can start them right away.

If I'm away from the computer for quite some time and rather busy, then I'll try and write some ideas down. It helps me remember where I was going with my idea in the first place that way I can actually come back here and post what I was going to post.
Otherwise, I'm usually pretty near my computer and am able to post what I want just by coming over to the computer and posting what I want to post. For me, writing this stuff down just depends on where I am. If I'm in class, I always have paper on me and I'm able to write stuff down quickly enough.

I go directly to the computer. I don't write it anymore in a piece of paper. If I have ideas to start a new thread, I type it right away so not to forget about it. And I am too excited to share it with anyone here.

i don't write down my ideas before posting here on mylot... i have in the past a couple of times so that i wouldn't forget or so that i could post it at a different time but i don't usually do that... it's very rare now...
but i am starting to think i should carry something with me to write things down. because i am always coming up with great ideas for a lot of different things while i'm out on my walks but then i always end up forgetting them.
I forget a lot of ideas. it's so annoying. i wish i had a good memory.

You give me the idea to carry a notebook wherever i go, hahahaha, i think your doing good. Sometimes when your here in mylot and you want to start discussion, you cant think of better topic, but when your doing something else and one idea pops up in your head, i think it must be immediately written down ( i forget things most of the time, especially ideas). I will start taking notes, writing my ideas, articles and how i can give and share more interesting topics here. That would be great,

i am new here so i really have not thought about that i have start about 3 new ones and it is just want came to me but since u siad about caring paper with u at all time i think i am going to do that so when i am at work i can write down thing that come to me when i am at work. thank for the idea i hope that works for me so i can start more discussions now

ideas just seem to pop into my head as im browsing so far, although i havent posted many yet im sure my ideas will tail off lol, i might start writing down my ideas as you suggest it will help organise my thoughts i think.

I usually find topics while wathcing tv or talking to my husband about things. I don't write them down and then I always forget them! Maybe I should start writing them down. Some of them were pretty good too- I think?

Lady I usually have a lot of new ideas but never share them with any one, even there is no matter behind this but its my habit of doing so. I have lot of friends we usually share each and every thing but my habit is not of that kind to share ideas or feelings with any one. But I like this habit in you that any one who participates in the discussions or read your articles on associated content might be helpfull to them. Because they even get the situation's result before trying or being into some trouble creating situation. Keep it up I like it.

Whenever there are new ideas that pop out of the blues, I often get a paper and write it down to avoid forgetting that thought. It is a lot easier to post new discussions when the ideas are already inmy scratch paper. There are times when I just post discussion while I do mylotting.

I would have to say that I am like you. I keep a notebook of ideas with me in case I think of something that I think will be interesting to write about. I also write discussions when I am just sitting around and an idea pops into my head or when something happens to me to give me an idea, kinda like this morning. I think that writting down our ideas helps us to better organise our thoughts so that we can easily translate our thoughts to discussions without leaving people scratching their heads. I hope tha you continue to write and I look forward to reading more of your work.

I've never actually posted a discussion but I do want to, I really enjoy reading them so I imagine I'd enjoy creating them just as much. I must say I LOVE your idea of carrying a notepad everywhere, I'm a list maker, I always make lists of things to do, and I think writing down ideas would be a very good idea. It would help me with a lot of things as well as just on here.
