But still not soon enough!
I remember reading last year that Chinese Cellphone manufacturers were planning on rationalising their product's power supply connectors to a mini USB..and now,I read this...
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/products/2009-02-17-mobile-chargers_N.htm?csp=Tech
but it's not due to happen before 2012..
How many redundant phones and/or power supplies do You have around the house? Will you be glad (eventually!) to be able to have one that'll fit any other? Why did it take so long to get to this stage? All along, manufacturers have made their phones chargers incompatible with other makes, purely to grab market share from the competition..
Thanks for Sharing!

You are right, It's the profits which make our house full of power supplies. All the cellphone companies from the famous ones such as Nokia to counterfeit mobile phone manufacturers are the companies essentially. And what they are pursuiting is the ultimate profit. If the power supplies of all cellphone brand are compatible. It means consumer could get it from any of cellphone company, which is not happy thing obviously for the cellphone manufactures company. There is another similar example about this phenomenon: Sony's memory stick. As we know PSP is cool and popular among teenagers. The memory stick is nearly necessary for every psp player if you want to store more game and movies in it. Yeah, it's only memory stick that work on your psp, not SD card or CF card or any other sort of thing. You see, you have no choice but memory stick. So Sony could earn more money from every psp owner naturally. And what you could do is only buy it from Sony or Scandisc which are authorized by Sony. Of course it is not free.
