Please give home remedy for severe cough and cold!!!!!

I am getting severe cough and cold from last 1 week, I went to specialists doctor but nothing working out. Is there any home remedy known to you? I will be very happy if you treat this as serious. Needed suggestions to overcome.

try warm honey lemon its a good remedy for cough as i did it to my self..and it works..have a nice day

I received emails about the wonder benefit of VICKS VAPORUB, and it really works. It is good for children and adults as well. Just apply below your nose entrance, rub something to your chest and another to the palm of your feet then wear socks.
Another is water therapy, drink 8 or even more glasses of water every day. Natural fruit juice would work too especially those citrus fruits. You may have insufficient vitamin C in you, so go for it. Vitamin C is good to both cough and colds.
Another wonder for dry cough is HONEY. Take a tablespoon filled with honey a day to smoothen your cough.
Definitely, sometimes taking antibiotics really sucks.
