Anime or Manga?

All of us here have different taste. Some prefer watching anime and some prefer reading the manga. How about you as an individual, which do you prefer? Watch anime episodes or read the manga? Anime episodes have sounds and animations but the story is not complete. Some scenes were skipped and were not included in the series. Meanwhile, manga is more complete than anime episodes with regards to the story but it has no sound and animation. It also has no color other than black and white. Manga is more advance than anime. Which do you like? Anime? Manga? or both? Share your opinions and thoughts here. Kanpai!

I like both, but I definitely prefer manga. You're definitely right that manga is more complete. I also like using my imagination as to how the characters would sound, act, etc. Plus, I also find that anime moves a bit slow for me. With manga, you can read through the chapters as fast or as slowly as you want to. In fact, I like reading manga so much that I'm a proofreader for a manga scanlating group!

Wow! What manga scanlating group is that? I know some, I've read it in the internet while I was browsing. Man, we got a big guy here. Welcome to myLot brother. Invite your group to join us here in our discussions. Yes, you are right. You can read faster or slower as you want. For those who don't know, manga is like the comics version of animes but you read MUST READ it from RIGHT TO LEFT. I don't know why they did it that way. Maybe if I tried it, I'll get addicted to soon. Lol.

Hi! I'm part of Iskultrip, they mostly do seinen mangas and it's a lot of fun being a part of the whole scanlating process. A few of the projects we are working on can also be found on onemanga.com, a site that hosts a huge amount of manga series. I'll definitely invite them to be a part of this forum and thanks for the welcome!

Oh ya, about the right to left thing....it's because that's how people in Asia read (books, comics, etc.). I totally had trouble getting used to it in the beginning too! Now I almost want to read everything that way. Lol Have you heard of the company TokyoPop? Some of the manga that they translate/publish in the US is actually reversed so it reads left to right. But then sometimes it looks kind of odd since wedding rings will be on the right hand instead of left...little things like that lol

I would say anime as i loved seeing moving characters. But i collect both of it. You see, anime gives the pleasure to see the characters live but manga is good to read when you are on bed or couch.

Wow! Nice collection you have there. I haven't seen a real manga yet. How much is it? I'm interested in reading manga but I can't connect the sequences. __

when you watch the anime you'll see the full action in the series..but it takes too long to watch! im waiting two weeks before a new episode released... but in manga every week you'll get the 3 version and it is so advance, but i love Anime!

i prefer watching anime. i like to see moving stuffs unlike reading manga. and anime is so colorful. more lively and everything. sometimes the voices add some extra factor. unlike in manga. but one thing is good in manga. the story is original and it is more advanced.
