I complete believe that there is the condition of adhd. My eldest child has adhd and also is bipolar and has epilepsy. I do give my child meds for these conditions. He is two totally seperate people without the meds. my youngest was diagnosed with add but i do not have him on meds. he is also dyslexic and i think that has alot to do why they diag. with add. but i dont feel that he needs the meds. but again i do believe my eldest child is a better person in life being on the meds that he takes.

they wanted to put my son in special education till i had to accept what was being advised to me that my son had a condition.. in less than 6 months of acceptance and concerta, he is now being skipped a grade for his intelligence level, and is now top of his class!! isn't it amazing how we might not accept things until they happen to us!!

That is great, sometimes it is because the child is bored and not having the correct things stimulated. Sometimes it is just an imbalance and they needs the meds to correct that. THen they can excel in school and do well. That is great that your son skipped a grade level.
