Everywhere we go you hear about the recession and how this year will be hard on us. But as Christians or believers in Christ do you believe what man are spurting or do you read your bible and place your life in God hands. God owned this world and he had promise us as children of God that He will never let his children beg for bread. We have read his words daily where he has brought out his children from Oppression and hunger. Why will he not do it for us too. Let us live by faith my brothers and sisters. Don't be despair believe on the God that you worship he is the Truth and Living one. He will let us weather this storm but only if we believe and live by faith. God bless Kerry

If times have to change, people will have to forget all about God. We wil have to depend on ourselves and our own goodness because God is an imaginary character who never, does not and will never exist. So, let us live a good life dependng on our own blessed selves. If God has promised his children that they will not have to beg, then why are numerous people begging for food? The fact is that, God has not provided sufficient food for his children for the simple reason that he is a figment of human imagination. Meditation is very important. Meditation will help us to dissolve our ego. There is an ego and then there is our true self which is close to perfection. Most of us are following our egos and that is why there is so much misery in this world. But when we dissolve our ego through meditation and follow our true selves, we will be able to live joyfully. God is also a figment of our egos. The belief in God boosts the ego. However, there are many definitions of God. Some call the true self itself as God. Faith is important, but faith in self and not in God. Faith in self will change everything in our lives. Then only we can have a more humane world.

Certain kind of people say that religion is all man made and worship of God is due to the crave for father figure. But the argument has been used in the reverese way too. Others say that those who refuse to submit to God do so cos they are against their earthly father. The world has become so sophisticated, but religion does not seem to die down. I think it's because what Augustine said is true: Our hearts are restless until they find their rest in thee. Is resting in God an intrinsic pursuit for human!

Is this referring to the Biblical God, or to the Creator? Judging by your last sentences, it sounds like you are referring to the latter, and saying that man is God. This would call for substantiation.

It is my friend. The whole reason for humans being on earth was to worship and praise God. But Adam and Eve went against the will of God and now we are paying for it. The bible say in the beginning was the word and the word was God. God told his people to call him Abba which means Father. Jesus thought us to pray Heavenly Father who art in Heaven. So it simple means that God is the Father of this universe and we should acknowledge and worship him in spirit and truth. All God asked of us is this. Until were realize how simple a task it is to walk in Glory and light then this world will not have this blotch of sin.

I went to the site and read it. It is a wonderful reminder to let us know that our sins are forgiven through the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank you for sharing it with me.

Yes, I do kerriann, and I have lived my life based on faith for as long as I can remember. There have been times when I thought that God had foresaken me but, looking back, I realized that I had to go through some hard times in order to come out the other side stronger and more determined. Life isn't supposesd to be easy all of the time...how boring would that be?

While God is the mighty one, people have still suffered, gone hungry, been homeless, raped, tormented, charged of being guilty when they were innoccent. It's something people face daily. It's not likely to change simply because people are going through money problems. Be that because God gave us freewill and simply gives us opportunities not to be those things, or whether it's out of our control. At this time the only thing you can depend on is humanity, your inner strength and the love of those around you. When you believe in that then you can get through anything.

At this time the only thing you can depend on is humanity, your inner strength and the love of those around you. I have to disagree with this line sataness because men is failure and so cannot trust those around you. The inner strength that you will be drawing from will have to come from a source some where and that goes back to God. So you see in everything ones does whether he/she want to acknowledge it really comes from that special one which is our Heavenly Father. We are only dust but through him we can practice that freewill you have mentioned. When we stray from the purpose God intended for our lives we will go through all that you have mentioned and until we serve God in spirit and truth we will have a life of hardship. What we should remember is that God own this world and he only asked us one thing to worship him in spirit and truth and all other things shall be added until us. Hardship is of the devil and we need to recognized this. God never at anytime intended for his children to have hardship and hungry.

Hello there kerriannc. I am a christian and I do believe in Him. I live by faith and not by sight. I trust Him and I know that it's His will what is happening to the world, the "global crisis". He knows what He is doing and it is a challenge for us. Prayer is the answer, let's go back to Him and build a stronger relationship with Him.

I do believe God will provide for us. He has many, many time. I have to admit though sometimes when I drive by the pumps and see gas going up again I feel a twinge of worry. My faith needs some work doesn't it? Silly me. I know better. God has always taken care of me... and always will!

Placing one's life in God's will also mean doing what is supposed to be done in a right way. To start cheating due to recession would be to distrust God. God has made institutions and therefore to work through institutions to help people or to get oneself out of the problem is depend on God. We can take comfort that He is still in charge, and we need not worry.

That we are living in tough economic times is evident daily. We might lose our job, if we haven't already lost it, and food prices are going up. And Jesus' model prayer shows us that it is proper to petition God for our daily needs such as food. Matthew 6:11 (New Living Translation) 11 Give us today the food we need, In fact, Matthew 6:19-33 teaches us the proper view of material necessities and where to place our focus. If we focus our lives on the kingdom of God and do what we can to procure our material necessities, God will no doubt bless our efforts. We will be taken care of! Matthew 6:33 (New Living Translation) 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

Great post Kerri. It reminds me of the Manna principle (in Exodus I believe). We need to learn to rely on God, not ourselves and not the public or private sector. The Israelites could not gather the Manna (their only source of food) because it would rot by the next day - so they had to rely on God to bring it to them fresh every day.

I am a born again christian and it was not until I met my wife that I decided to become christian. The faith has brought me a lot of peace with much of the problems I had in the past. The recession is scary but God promises us that we will be provided what we need. We do not need HD tv's and expensive cars. The bible tells us how God feeds the birds and if he provides for the birds, imagine what he provides for us? Although it is scary where the world is headed, putting my faith in God has made things much easier to deal with.
