Would you rather cook on an electric or gas stove?

electric. its safer, and faster than gas. as long as its the coils. I don't like the glass tops. glass top stoves are for people that don't cook. they are impossible to keep clean.

I was taught how to cook on gas. After moving out and getting on my own, I had to learn how to cook on electric, and very fast. I burnt everything, and things that aren't that easy to burn, I crispt the heck out of them. After 10 years of cooking on electric, I enjoy it and find going back to gas a little frustrating because it takes it a little bit longer to cook things.

I love my gas stove and cooker its brilliant never had any problems cooking anything, I have used electric ones before and found them to be a right pain!

I also have an electric stove and hate it! I have always had a gas stove but since I moved to my house now two years ago I suffered with an electric stove. It is really bad, I can't turn it low and it stays at the same temperature all the time. I would love a a gas stove again:)

Well i have a stove top and then the oven is seperate at my house. So it doesnt take long to heat up the stove top and its electric. I have only ever used an electric stove and i have never seen anyone even use a gas stove before. I live in Florida so im assuming that the gas stoves arent used much here anymore or some people might think of it as a trend and always trying to have the best. I dont own my own house i still live at home but i cook on a daily basis and its on the electric stove.

I think it depends upon the amount of energy consumed, not to mention the ever changing cost of oil and electricity. If oil price is cheap, then I would stick to gas. And if electricity is cheaper, then that's the one I would prefer to use. I never mind which is easier to use, I have to be frugal and practical when it comes to budgeting our daily energy consumption..;)

I have a gas stove and I love it. It doesn't take long to get the heat you need to cook over and it is easy to adjust. When we go on vacaiton they always have electric stoves and I hate them.
