I had a wonderful golden hamster, and now it`s gone. I don`t think that he will come back. I think that he`s already dead, and maybe already ate by a cat. i hate cats since he is lost. I have a hole in bathroom ,and i think he took that way. He was gone before, but after all night long, he always camed at us, and it was like he was asking us to take him and feed him.

That is almost a week. He may have gotten away. I would plug up that hole in the bathroom, and then get another hamster. Sorry he is gone.

i will plug that hole, but as about another hamster i don`t think that i`ll buy another one. My dad it`s so touched, and he said that he don`t wishes another hamster, because no other will be like Jerry. when i gave my dad that golden hamster it has just 2 weeks. My mom and mmy dad feed him up and they did all that a human been can do for an animal. So, maybe they will want another after a wile, but for now, they don`t want other hamster.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your hamster. We do have hamsters back home in my country. And i am sure that if there is a cat around, the cat must already feasted your loving pet. By the way, how did your hamster get away from his house/cage. Did you set him free to snoop around and then later on fetch him. Sometimes we do that at home, we let them go out of their house and run freely around the house and then gather them back. Although our hamsters die because of attacking each other. They bite each other. I don't know now if we still have a live hamster since my brother is the one taking care of it.

well, he was a sly hamster, becuase he had a gate at his cage, that was working from up to dawn ( i don`t know how to tell you ) , and he saw me that i was pulling the gate a little bit, and then i pushed that gate up. He saw that and he was pushing the gate, till it was out, and then with his little teeth he was raising the gate and he was out! I wasn`t so easy to pull that gate for him, but he has a big straight.

My brother had a gerbil get out of his cage when we were kids. We assumed he was a gonner, but one night there he was walking around in the kitchen like nothing was wrong. He could be alive still and hiding from the cats.

well, let`s hope that i`ll find mine doing that too, but i don`t think so, because in my apartement there aren` any cats. And how can he could live so much without food? I don`t think he`s really alive, but if that it`s true, i`ll find it ! But it`s hard for me to belive that after one week, because he always camed by himself to us and almost every time he was scared and he stayed still to get him and feed him up.

I don't know.. I know it's a different situation, but one time, my cat went missing for two years! And suddenly showed up again at my doorstep looking well-fed and well-groomed. It was bizarre. So, I've seen it happen. Just keep an eye out, alert your neighbors/roommates, and hope for the best! :)

Aww, I hope you find him soon. He could easily still be alive. My boyfriend's snake got out of his cage and was missing for 3 months. Finally they found him sleeping in the toe of his son's boot. Alive and well! Skinny, but fine. Hampsters like to burrow, don't they? Check the toes of your shoes and small places like that.

well firstly do you have any cats in your neighbourhood? and if so is there anyway he could have gotten out? chances are if he is still in the house and 1) has access to some sort of food and/or water 2) hasn't chewed any cables and been killed (its horrible i know) then you might have a chance. you can buy live catch mouse traps in certain shops, it would be a good idea to position one of these outside the hole in your bathroom just put some of his favourite food in the traps and set them around the house (they particularly stick to walls)If everything fails and he is still alive you can try a heatseeking camera although it might cost you some money. If he is still alive I really hope you find him the same thing happened to my nephew recently. my heart goes out to you and good luck. P.S if you can tell me how to change my avatar i will be SO grateful thank you and good luck

we had one that lived under the stove for 3 weeks, we had given upmon him and replaced him, then I thought I saw a mouse under my stove, somy husband pulled the drawer and found a nest, complete with 10-15 peices of cat foor that we assumed he was eating. So unless you saw him go through the hole, don't give up hope.
