Glamour magazine has a thing called body by glamour that you can sign up for free. I am part of it and really like it. There are message boards so you can ask other womwen questions if you have them and the women are pretty knowledgable. The site asks you a few questions and then sets up an exersice and food goals for you. They are small changes every week that are easy to follow and not unrealistic. Check it out on glamours website. Like I said its free so if you dont like it just quit and try something else. I know Allure Magazine has something simmiler but I haven't signed up for that one so I couldn't tell you how it is. Good luck! You can do it!

IN JULY OF 2005 I COULD NOT BEND OVER TO TIE MY SHOES!!! I DECIDED TO LOOSE WEIGHT SLOWLY AND KEEP IT OFF!!
I EAT ANYTHING I WANT TOO EXCEPT JUST A TASTE. WHEN I GO OUT FOR DINNER, WHICH I DO ABOUT FOUR NIGHTS A WEEK, I EAT WHAT I WANT TIL IS START TO FEEL FULL THEN I QUIT..DOESN'T MATTER WHAT IS LEFT ON MY PLATE... I AM DONE!IF YOU STOP EATING AND JUST HAVE SOMETHING TO DRINK...WATER IS BEST BECAUSE DIET DRINKS WILL HELP KEEP THE WEIGHT ON!!.
I HAVE LOST ABOUT 43 POUNDS IN THE LAST 16MONTHS!!! I FEEL GREAT BECAUSE I DO NOT DEPRIVE MYSELF OF
CANDY, DESERTS, CARBS, STARCHES, ECT.
MY MAIN CONCERN IS FOOD WITH CHOLOSTERAL IN IT...SO I EAT JUST MAYBE 5-6 FRENCH FRIES!!! THIS WAS VERY HARD TO DO AT FIRST..BUT NOW I
CAN HAVE JUST A FEW AND BE SATISIFIED...STILL WANTING MORE BUT I DON'T KEEP EATING. JUST GIVE IT A TRY.
NO CLUBS TO JOIN, NO DIET FOOD TO BUY.
AND YOU CAN EAT WITHOUT MAKING IT SO NOTICEABLY THAT YOU ARE DIETING...UNTIL THE WEIGHT STARTS COMING OFF AND YOU WILL GET NOTICED THEN...TRUST ME... YOU WILL - IT DID
HAPPENED TO ME. I ALSO HAVE A TEADMILL IN A SPARE ROOM OF OUR HOUSE THAT I USE. MUCH MORE CONVIENT THAN GOING OUT TO EXCERISE. GOOD LUCK...I
WOULD LIKE TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK OF MY SUGGESTION....THANKS

I want to lose weight kind of for the same reason you did. I can bend over to tie my shoes but when i bend over it takes me about 15 minutes to recooperate. I get mad if i drop something on the floor at work and have to pick it up. it is embarrassing when i start huffing and puffing just to bend over. I have started by eating more protien, less carb. and i want to start walking. exercise is the hard part. I obviously have more money than will power. I have been paying $60 per month for a gym that i do not use. Pathetic eh!!

I lost my weight by walking, cutting my portions and cutting out 95% of sugars and oils from my diet. I also saw a dietitian but when she was not doing what she was preaching I realized I must get books and do it myself, however I still took some of her advise and ran wit it. for the first time in 3 years I am 45lbs lighter. Keep a diary if you can you can find where you need work or help on and let your doctor know you are not happy with your weight.

perhaps try to exercise more regularly, cut down on sugary foods (especially soft drinks) and oily fried foods and try to eat more boiled or steamed foods if possible.

First. If you are struggling to lose get your health checked, especially for diebetis. No one ever wants to get their sugar checked for this but it's better to know and to start on a healthy diet, in case you are more prone or already have it.
My Family is really big on the atkins diet I however do not like that as it puts cholesterol through the roof..
My First recommendations for everyone is.
- Drink Water 10-12 oz glass before every meal. Most people mistake being thirsty for being hungry, and Dehydration is a very very common problem among people who have obesity.
- Exercise BEFORE meals. about 30-60 minutes before. This helps increase your bodies metabolism..
- Walk for 60 minutes daily. Does not matter how far, or how fast, just for yourself to walk for 60 minutes.
- Dance. No one realisings how much weight a person can loose by dancing....
I surprised my family as my weight is always up and down. Why? Because I do alot of Native dancing.... and when you do this type of dancing a little bit goes far, and it is fun find a type of Dance and music you like, and if you can not walk just dance for any hour.
Three look into a type of martial arts, dance lessons, or yoga or something that uses body movements that you are interrested in. I took Jazz Dance lessons. I was more sore after those then I was in anything else.... Part of it was I was pushing myself to hard.... and not breathing right..
- BREATH ... Make sure you are not holding your breath, the more oxygen the more you burn.... and more energy you have.
Looking up Pranic Breathing teach yourself many deep breathing technigues....
And for Exercise and diet.. Well Look at what you normally eat, gradually one by one cut out the stuff you do not need and replace it with stuff you DO need that you Like! or Can grow to like. It is not worth eating things you do not like an being miserable.
I noticed I lack potassium alot so I tried soymilk it was okay. But I discovered Chocolate soymilk I have 1-2 glass of that a day I am fine. I also have myself drink a glass of water when I get up and eat a bannanna now I hate bananas but to me its worth it to keep those charlie horses away.
As Far as exercises go if you want to get into push ups and sit ups and all that stuff. Take it slow.
The way I got myself into exercise is I started off with one movement a week... one sit up one push up... The next week Two Sit ups and two push ups the next week three sit ups and three push ups. Gives my body enough to adust then when I got into the single digits I would go 10 of this exercise on even days and 10 of this on odd days.... This way my body was getting good rest in between and not getting totally overworked. Always remember after a hard work out to stretch this drains lactic acid from the muscles, and it is that acid that makes you so sore, after I learned this I been able to handle working myself more, with less pain, as properly warning up to exercises and cooling off is important.
Think about what you had to do in highschool in phy ed before your got into exercises. If you can remember that routine.. Do it, as you did then, before getting into exercises, of course running your entire plan by your doctor... and if you find you can do one of each exercise easily go to the next 2-3 etc find out how many you can do comfortably daily and push just to that one next umcomfortable.
There are many other discussions on this too.

Not that this program has to do with just losing weight, but I have lost all my weight in the past (I lost 120 lbs. and I got down to 125 lbs. )with the help of Overeaters Anonymous. Right now, I am trying to make extra money so I can stay on my food plan, and I know in my heart I will be able to do it again. You can too. There are OA meetings internationally and nationally everywhere in most cities around this great U.S.A.. If you really take the suggestions and guidelines seriously you can lose weeight and you can check out the Overeaters Anonymous website and find a meeting near you. In speaking only for myself, it is my personal opinion that I am a compulsive overeater and I always will be (in other words I have the desire to overeat today and I don't think the desire will change tomorrow). However, I have the choice to put down the excess food on a daily basis. Much good luck to you. And, I hope you don't mind my saying, God bless.

I have found the secret to losing weight...it's the law of attraction... you must think thin...even though you feel fat...the mind only go's by what you tell it. then it tells the body to follow through...so keep thinking thin...tell yourself every day that your getting thinner and thinner... your body will start losing weight...also... you should snack about 6 times a day...in small amounts... mostly fruits and vegetables...then your body has something to work with and won't make fat...drink lots of liquids..and stay active. Good luck..
