I watched the news today, and i like Obama very much. But i had some extra wrinkles in my forehead when i heard that he was going to send more americans into afghanistan. How can it be possible, havenĀ“t the people of United States Of America suffered enough. Is it possible the secret behind the economical crisis is caused by the war? It must have cost the americans loads of money to have the war, and it has not paid off in any way. The loss of soldiers, loss of weapons, loss of civilians, loss of children, loss of oil etc. It has caused enough problems has it not?

Afghanistan is the front of war on terror, if forces are removed, USA lose , Al- Qeada win. Taliban back to business, and Afghanistan continue to be Osama second home.

I do not know who is the biggest terrorist, but USA has to invade Afghanistan is because Taliban regime refuse to hand over Osama and eliminate Al-Qaeda presence in that country. It is not about occupying that country or spreading democracy with the second war, it is the real war on terror to prevent USA from another 9/11 attack, not everyone like the truth, but USA will do whatever necessary to keep it citizens from terrorism. But Afghanistan is in front of terror because they attacked USA. Not because they are the biggest terrorist in the world. There are many countries worse then Afghanistan, Believe me:-) What about Hamas, Iraq, South Africans?

He said he wanted to end the war in Iraq, most people didn't listen when he said he was going to send more forces into Afganistan. What is the difference? Didn't he just authorize 17.0000 troops to be sent there? I think both places are wars that can't be won, not even sure how you could tell if you did win.

You win when you walk out with Bin leden, He was very clear that we had a war to finish in afghanastan. This just goes to prove how people hear what they want to hear. He believes the war with Iraq was began under alot of lies. Our job there is just about done. The war in Iraq is a success for the simple fact that there is new government and now they can run the country the way most wanted it ran.

My comment is: it has become a success. But it was a failure from the start. I don't think killing civilians and destroying innocent families is a successful war. But it has grown into something better, more acceptable. War against terrorists should never start with the whole country, and i might know where he/she isn't going to work either. It is much better to have a specific plan.

I disagree with Obama on many things, but he is smart enough to know that withdrawing from Afghanistan would be the dumbest thing he could possibly do. For one thing the Taliban would declare victory. They've already done that in Pakistan where they've taken over part of the country. If we leave now they'll have no problem taking over that hellhole again. After that it's back to being terrorist headquarters and a place where women get beaten in the streets. You can argue whether Iraq is better or worse after the war, but Afghanistan is the armpit of the middle east. Nothing anyone could do could EVER make it worse than it was before we invaded. At least now women can get educated and people can practice religion. Who knows, their literacy rate may even hit 40 someday.
