What is the longest time duration allowed to be idle in Mylot?

Just now i'm typing my response to Hostel life, but after a while when i clicked the submit button, i end up being to being asked to sign up once again, which puzzles me a bit. How long exactly do we have to type our respond or discussion before we are being logged-out automatically?

As with the first response, I'm of the understanding that checking the Public Computer box will keep you logged in longer; but what's odd for me is that I used to find myself logging out automatically after 10 minutes or so for quite some time there and then it suddenly stopped doing that! 
Maybe it has something to do with cookies as well? I'm not really sure. And then to make me even more intrigued, I just changed my password the other day and now the automatic log-outs have restarted again??? It seems to change from one day to the next??? Thankfully I am using an Opera browser for mylotting, which means that even if I get logged out, I can log back in and my text will still be there.
