There is no qestion to hate somebody because he is superior to you ...I usually get inspiration from my superior and senior fellows...
If somebody have a quality I do admire them a lot...
And I try to follow them...

there is nothing mentioned about hating someone just because he is superior. the discussion is only about what are the things you like about your boss and the things you do not like about him. that's all. i hope that's clear. =)

My immediate superior is the boss of the company so you can very well understand my condition. What I hate is endless, however what I love about him is his punctuality in paying the staff. We always get our paycheck on the 1st or 2nd of every month, without failure. So inspite of all his drawbacks (ill temper, grouchy, hard to please, a complete dictator etc) it is finally the money that matters and we have nothing against him on this.

what if there is nothing else to love about him except that he pays well? what if every day he is grouchy, ill tempered, hard to please and a dictator? will you still stay? what if everyone else is leaving and there are new guys who might also leave in a few months time? how can you stay in a workplace like that?

At where I work I have 4 different managers. Each one with their own things going on. I have a favorite manager and a least favorite manager. The manager that I really like is great. As long as you are doing your job and not goofing off he will allow you to take an extra break or whatever. He is very calm and cool headed and does not let things get to him. I go with him each day we work together to the back and we just talk. My least favorite manager is very hard to get along with and very strict and uptight. Granted my job is very easy compared to many other jobs, but this manager tends to make things much harder on people. You are to do your work and that is it. No joking around or anything of the sort. I am more of a laid back person and since I am head over some people I let them slide on little things more than others.

i also have two bosses like that, one is okay and one is not. but there are times they clash in the sense that what the other is telling me to do is different from the other boss so its so hard to please them both
