is it childish for an adult to watch cartoon?

I like watching cartoon ,not only cartoon have beautiful picture but also I can learn language i like such as english and japanese . but my families don't support me to watch it .They said it is childish to watch cartoon which is enjoyed by childredn ."You are not as young as the children ,if you were lucky enough,you would be child's mother .Therefore ,when I want to watch it ,i would watch it in secretely .sometimes ,I even stay up to watch until daybreak especially at weekend. Should i be guilty of taht ? if not ,pls tell me how i can get the approval to persuade them?

I'm 46 and I still watch cartoons! Don't feel guilty about watching cartoons! You are an adult and you can watch what you want even if it is cartoons! Keep watching the cartoons and tell your family it isn't any of their business! You control your life not them!

I have always loved animated shows, and I think they always will.
I don't think you can say watching cartoons is childish when there is several out there for the more mature audience like American Dad!, Family Guy and so on and shows like The Simpsons work on many levels appealing to several age groups.
So no matter what age you are...go and enjoy them, they are brilliant!

never...cartoons are just for relaxation and entertainmemt...its up to the individual watch it or not..
so adults who watch cartoons can never be considered childish...

I'm already 20 and I'm still watching cartoons if I'm in the mood. Rofl. It's just entertaining to me. But I only watch comedy cartoons. I don't like those drama like Snow White, Rapanzel and etc. It is not that childish, it's just entertaining. XD

I don't think there is a rule that an adult should not watch cartoons.also,there aren't any rules that cartoons are exclusively for kids.I am 26,and I still watch cartoons.look into my ipod and you'll see a lot of spongebob videos in it.cartoons aren't equivalent to being childish.
