Use my friend I have seen a lot of black-and-white movies and it is not about whether you like it or not because the movie is not judged by its colours but by its content and way of presentation. There are a lot of junk movies even made in black and white and also there are a lot of movies made today and obviously there and colour. But one thing which I have observed in black-and-white movies is that you'll generally do not feel the lack of colours when you see a good movie because it is a story that should appeal you. Not only have I seen movies of raj kapoor but many other Indian rates directors and one thing which I can tell you there is there is a different time mentioned to colours when you are shooting it in black-and-white and that if one you can never experience with colours. Moreover the grey shades allows you to play a lot with the likes to generate a different kind of moods and to tell a lot which cannot be shown through expressions. But these things I have seen thee not come out to Paley when you have others. And if you observe a lot of the directors make movies with a very controlled lighting environment to get very particular shades of light and negate others because the field that all the colours may have been the effect which they are trying to create in the movie. For example the famous Indian movie black was completely shoot with the bluish tinge to give it a special effect and it worked well.

I have seen lots of black and white movies. Like Seven Samurai (which is one of my favorite films. I took a film class and many of the classics we watch were in black and white. I don't mind watching black and white films some of them are quite good.

Hi punmsharma,
I have seen lot of black and white movies.
Those days when I was very young there used to be only black and white films.
Even now I see in internet some old movies in black and white only.
Though only the color movies do look pleasing to eyes,we cann't forget those classical movies of yesteryear's which are in black and white.
Though I have seen more color pictures of rajkapoor, nargis and all I have seen some black and white films also. They are superb films
Happy mylotting

Which I love that movie because it was so funny and citizen kane which I thought was a great movie. I've seen some of those.
Personally they really bring back good times, when I was young (About 8-10 years old) I really liked black & white movies, and I had a lot of them at home.
Now I don't enjoy it as much, I like regular films better which in my opinion are described far better than black & white movies, because of the colors.

I still like to watch some of the older black and white movies. One of my favorite channels is American Movie Classics. Some of the older movies were quite good, and it doesn't bother me that they aren't in color. I have never heard of the two you mentioned, I don't think they're available on our channels. I have noticed on some of the international channels that they have made current movies in black and white, some of them are good as well. I like the older black and white ones sometimes just because they're from a different era, and show us a different slice of life and how times used to be.
