We all love our animals and do not know how we could possibly live without them. Yes, your dog can be your best friend, but would you allow your dog to lick you on your mouth?

I let my dog lick my face all the time. I use to think it was gross but believe it or not my vet says that the cleanest part of the dog is its tongue. It has something on it that kills all bacteria. Who would know better then a vet???

My dog, Petey, is still my best friend even though he passed away almost 3 years ago. He often licked my cheek, especially after I was gone all day, but no I wouldn't let him lick my mouth...not when I know he licks his own butt LOL **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Hey friend, Its a nice question. Well frankly speaking about me, i wont allow my dog to kiss me. Though i love him a lot, but then being a science student, i am also aware of the consequences. I have vaccinated him and he is free from all kind of diseases but, the fact is that there are few residential bacterias which only reside in dogs saliva and mouth, they are harmless to dogs but harmful to human beings. So, i know this fact and i always prefer that my dog doesn't lick me or anyone else.

I can not stand for a dog or any animal get close to not only my mouth but my face and lick it. It really does bother me too when I see people who let dogs lick all over their babies face. Don't hate me all of those of you who it don't bother, that is just something that I don't like.

Sometimes that is inevitable. No matter how you squirm to get them away from your lips, it happens. If it is grossing you out, or atleast if it does me, I wipe my mouth! Easy as that!

I would never let a dog lick me on the face! My husky is a neurotic licker, and I am trying to break this habit but it is not working. She will, if you let her, lick your hands, pants, arms, anything she can. Anyone know how to stop this?

Sometimes it grosses me out but other times I do not care. I know where their tongue has been so it is kind of disturbing to think about. lol.
