Need advice on Steam Rooms

Hey all! I have a question, as well as welcome your advice! I'm VERY curious about purchasing a steam room, not a sauna, a steam room. I'm going with a steam room because saunas have dry air, which is so NOT good for my nosebleeds (yuck!) The idea hit me when I was spending time at one of the spas we get discounts at, and part of the package I purchased involved a half hour in the steam room, and oh my goodness I didn't want to leave! I felt so relaxed, I didn't feel dirty, I was in fact SHEDDING the daily grime from earlier that day because of the sweat I was producing (again, I know, yuck lol). SO! My questions is to anybody who has a steam room in their house, guest house, manor, outside, anything relating to it....How much did it cost you, how much to keep the "upkeep", and how much would it, if any, skyrocket your water/utility bill? I soooooo want one, but would like to get other people's opinions on it, if I should go ahead with the investment, or just limit it to spa visits?

you can turn any sauna into a steam room if you use the hot rocks method and poar water on them I dont like hot air, so I rather doubt I'd like either one - of course I live in a sauna - its called Texas!

yeah, well, some days it also feels like a steam room - hot and humid, but last summer it was like an oven!

Yeah, I don't HAVE a sauna you silly person! And I would prefer a steam room, because that means moisture in the air, which I would need for sure! Hot dry air, isn't good for me at all, nose bleeds, headaches, dehydration, fainting...yeah, steam room for me! Thanks for responding!

Sorry I just havent looked in to this but the Native American built thier own Seat lodges maybe you can make one cheaper than ya think!. I know its made tight and put heated up rocks in them then put the water over the rockes to make the steam. The NAtive Americans always thought this was a good way to cleance oneself of every thin!

That's a good plan! Hrm, what would you suggest would be the best way to heat the rocks? I'd also be scared of them exploding and hurting myself and others if I use the wrong temperature of water.

I would like a steam room myself and when I get rid of my problem of poverty, I am going to build me a house with a steam room. It's a luxury but I'm pretty sure I deserve it. Cheers!!

It sounds like that you're the very one who enjoy oneself very much. A good idea but can't be realized to common ones like me. But I have my own way to enjoy my days and night. Anyway, I'd like you get what you want. Best wishes.
