What is a Christian

What is a real Christian? I personally believe a Christian is one who trusts Jesus Christ as their Savior by faith. There are so many denominations under the blanket of Christianity. However I have read several of their doctrinal statements and not many agree. Does anyone have some opinions?

Thank you for your response. Obviously you deny the power of God and His miraculous abilities. Agnostics, Atheists and the intellectual community has over the ages have done everything in their power to try to prove the Bible to be false. Despite their collective efforts. the Bible continues to be the best selling and the most widely read book on the planet.

A Christian is a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is somebody who has repented of his sins, accepted Jesus is the only one who can save him from his sins.

The answer to that is simple. A Christian is someone who as accepted Christ as their savior. And trust him with everything in life. There are so many different doctines with Christianity, but the most important aspect of being one is accepting Christ into your life.
