Wire Men

just wondering if anyone else has ever heard of them.
they are small, agressive, spiteful, and smell like electricity
only a handful of people I know have ever heard of them (through experience of them) and it does seem to be localised to the area I used to live.
I have never seen wider mention of them, and wondered if anyone out there knows what they are.

i don't really know if they are more of a rural thing. i know that i see them most often at the family homestead which is on 60 acres of woods. but i do see them in the town i live in on occasion.
the only time i was ever ganged up on was in the woods, but they give me the creeps anyway. i think they have bad intentions.

you are the only other person i have ever heard of that was "stalked" by shadow people.
i still see them, but when i was young they were all over the house/land my family lived on. while walking in the woods with my dog they began to sort of gang up, like you described. i think if i had not had my dog with me something bad would have happened. he growled, barked, and generally kept them back until i could run away. as soon as i was gone he took off, too.
neither of us were harmed, but i fear we could have been.

hehe who knows.
a wierd elongated S shaped thing once crossed the road in front of my sisters car.
it was like it was made of black smoke, but with solidly defined edges, and two perfectly square "windows" going through it.
and when they carried on driving, the streetlights went out as they passed them, whether they speeded up or slowed down, each light just plinked out as they went alongside it.

I have never heard of wire men before. I was pretty confused when I read this post cause it's certainly something that I have never heard of before. The thing that really interests me the most about them is the fact that they smell like electricity.

What you're describing reminds me alot of talk of "electricity gremlins"...I don't remember where I heard that phrase, but I've heard talk of little buggers that like to muddle with mechanical devices.
Perhaps they're related to angry brownies or other mischievous and small folk?

hi galena...i've not heard of them. i notice that you have paranormal as a subject so maybe i don't want to know about them. the name makes me think of electrical workers. now you say they smell like electricity but i don't know what electricity smells like. haha. i am now very curious. hope it's not scary.

Galena, I've not heard of "wire men" per se, but I have heard that it's not uncommon for entities to dry up energy sources, such as the batteries suddenly going on EVP recorders, etc during taping of a session. I wonder if entities doing this perhaps got the nick name of wire men? I'll be interested to see what others know, or find out. Anora

it could explain where the smell comes from, true.
apparently, they do look like they're made of electrical wire, or sometimes like flashing lights. (most people experiencing the lights, as opposed to the people shaped apparitions, reffered to the lights as "nets" and they were connected but not the same)
someone showed where they'd been caught by them. they had a scar that looked like a capillary mesh of burns.
very very scary creatures, whatever they are.
one person once showed where they were actually caught by them

Hire men? or wire men? I think you are talking about the electricians who work on street lights and come to the dooorstep to disconnect the power for non payment.
