Anybody else got a cat that likes to headbutt? My 5 year old black loves to head butt. It is soo cute but that's all he wants to do! lol. I will wake up with him sitting on me staring right at me, then he will start to head butt me. It is really funny.

I know how that is, my cat that passed away attacked my grandma once and clawed her arm up. He hated strangers! He sometimes even attacked me when I walked by. I did not raise him like that, my sister and her bf would mess with him when he was a kitten so he became very mean.

I've got to send this one to my husband. Our cat Shakti does this to us (especially him) all the time. He also knows how to push the laptop right off of our laps, and when we want to make out on the couch, Shakti will either get in between us, or headbutt whatever part of us he can.

Shakti must be half goat. This is his greeting, his way of demanding attention, or just a way to be obnoxious. His neck is quite strong and actually hurts when he butts an arm or shoulder. Lately he'll come up behind me on the couch and knock my head.

I saw on a pet show once that that is kitty's way of welcoming you into their family.
Do with it what you will.
