Do you depend on God's will for everything in your life?

When we pray to Lord Jesus sometimes our prayers are answered in a completely different manner suppose we are praying for a right decision to get admitted to a new school for your child, we usually see the immediate benefits, but God looks at the future, and plans the best for us even though we might have some difficulties accepting his decision, Any one has experienced this?

I'm not a Christian, so I will not answer your question as a Christian. I do read the Bible cover to cover. I believe in free will, apparently God respects the free will of Adam and Eve to make decision. Of course He expects us to be responsible for all our decisions. I do have faith that guidance will be provided if we ask for it.
I had been unemployed for a few months. Keep on searching for job to no avail. Even though I'm still unemployed, I do appreciate that this is a turning point in my life. If I were to continue working, I would not bother to come to Mylot. If I didn't join Mylot in the first place, I would not discover that I could write. Writing is a skill and I am glad to discover that I have it in me.
In this sense, thanks to God, my Creator. His invisible hand prevents me from landing a thankless job and guide me to self-discovery.

Thanks Nancy for your loving thoughts. What you say trigger a memory of Ps 23:1 about the Lord being my shepherd. I shall not want.
May our Creator takes care of us in every way. My heartfelt desire is to be rich in every sense. So I name my blog Rich in Every Sense. Like what the Bible says, store treasure in heaven, and be rich spiritually, emotionally, materially also on Earth.

Hi Nancy. We also pray for GOD"S help and guidance. We need to pray for GOD'S help everyday. GOD made us and has a plan for our lives. Sometimes getting our prayer answered might be bad for us or might interfere with what GOD has in mind for us to do with our lives.

I do my best to depend on God for everything in my life. I will admit that there are times when it seems a little too hard to be able to trust him. But I try to keep my focus on God through everything and ask him for guidance in everything I do.

Yes sometimes it is difficult to understand what God is really doing but God sees the end he knows what is the best for our future, he says my ways are higher than your ways, so it better to trust in him even though it is tough, ultimate result will be good always.

If we pray to God with all our hearts, i do know He listens. No matter what, but if it is His will, then we have to obey. We depend on God and in our lives we trust in Him alone, so His will is important.
It is not our will but God's will right? God knows what is best for us, even if we haven't prayed yet, God knows our needs.
But if we pray for things that will not glorify Him, God will respond more on the things that will meet our spiritual things. I believe that everything happens for a purpose and not accidental, that is why we say it is God's will.

Thanks for your response, God's will is very important in all our decisions of life, life will be more meaningful if we depend on his guidance more than our own wisdom.

When my daughter was ready for school, we had a choice as to which school she could go to. I did not ask God which school she should go to. I prayed and asked God how she should be schooled. I do not know why I prayed that way. In looking back I think God gave me those words to pray. Sometimes now I ask God to give me the words to pray.
After that prayer, God directed us into home school. I fought with God about it. I wanted the easy answer. I just wanted to send her to the school down the street. I finally gave in and asked God to help us in the path that he wanted us to go in. I challenged God to give me help since I was not educated as a teacher but had a good basic educational background with some college. Money was short and many around us that home schooled had fine books and supplies. We struggled many times and it took daily prayer to help teach certain concepts. Still, every year we met the requirements for the grade she was in and went beyond.
When my daughter was in about grade 6, she was diagnosed with dyslexia and so was I. I began to learn how to teach dyslexics. I was amazed that what was in this program was exactly what God showed me inch by inch through prayer over the years. There is nothing beyond God. Lack of money does not stand in his way. Our disobedience does stand in His way. We have free choice. He says to choose life. God is life, light, love, etc.
All through this God kept putting on my heart to guard her creativity. How great God is. He does know the end from the beginning. Through all of this we not only taught our daughter but learned along the way. When I turned 50, my daughter and I both went through vision therapy to correct a weak eye muscle and now the dyslexia (problem with words, reading, etc.) is all but gone.
I was told that the level of dyslexia that my daughter had was so bad that if we had not taught her one on one, she probably would not have learned to read. Today she is at college level in every area and she has learned that while it has been a challenge to learn, she can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
Each day with God is better than the day before. He will guide if you will follow. Personal relationship (prayer)(talking to Him)(reading what He has to say-Bible)(quiet time for listening to Him)(thanking Him)(praising him)(so much more to add to this) is what gives us all so that we can give to others.
I Thank you God for all Your rich bounty in every area of my life.

I believe that we must have faith first of all in all matters. If you pray that a child may go to a certain school, and it doesn't happen immediately, then you must still have faith that it'll happen soon, or that he has a better plan that we are unaware of.

Yes i always do!
But remember these phrase!
God's gift are not measured according to the giver but according to the taker.
Do you have an intimate relationship with God? If you believe you have then you can demand on your Father on heaven who is the best father in all the earth. Of course, demand according to His will.
