I have 2 cats, 1 dog, and 1 bird and to me they are not animals, they are little people with fur (or feathers) a concept my husband struggles with every day; to him they are just animals. I concern myself not only with their basic needs but their feelings and moods. My partner thinks I'm crazy. Are you a proud pet owner?
Do you have photos on your phone of your pets? When you sign cards do you include your pet’s name? I would love to know if there are others like me, so please share...

I have 4 dogs and 2 cats so putting all theie names on acards is too much, but I do carry pictures in mywallet of all of them . And at Christmas they all have a stocking hung so I guess I am in the ategory of a proud pet owner, or I am owned by 6 animals!

Yes that is so, especially the cats, you don't own cats, they own you! Our young daughter rejoices at the Christmas stocking filled with goodies that Santa leaves every year for the pets, you are one after my own heart, thanks for responding!

At the moment I don't have any pets due to my unstable living situation. However this will change in about two years time when I will add to my family. My wife and I always treat our pets as part of our family. We both have adult aged children. Why would you get a pet unless you were going to love and take extra good care of them. Evend if you get a dog for security purposes, it still needs love. P.s. thanks for the best response.

I got my puppy 8 months ago and she is just like my kid. she is very spoiled. she has two pet beds, about 50 toys. when I send card or letters I always include her name to them because she is my child. I do not know what I would do with out her. Jacci

I can understand that. My cat has been my "baby" for years until I had a human one that is! Thanks for responding!

I am a proud pet owner and I do spoil my sweet ones. I do carry photos and show them off if they are not with me..lol..they love going for rides. I do think of them as being like little people and treat them as such. I love your bird paula! I have always wanted one.

Thanks for responding! Bert is my budgerigar and I've had him for almost 7 years. He is the oldest budgie I've had so far, the others unfortunately have not lived very long.
