When I turn 48, I will have my sisters and brothers and one sister-in-law and perhaps one or two of my nieces and nephews and one or two of my grand nephews and grand nieces, and about five friends wish me a happy birthday... My friends will have to be reminded just as I hope that my friends will remind me of their birthdays as I have been known to sometimes have a bad memory... It is a kindness to drop hints early on... about when it is, and what would be a good gift, etc. as there are people who would be unhappy not to know or to find out too late to celebrate a special day. Happy birthday to you whenever it is.

It's more because I always would keep track of friend's birthdays...and throughout the years...I remember all my classmates' birthdays.
But now we are scattered around the globe and rarely in touch. I think of them on their birthday and wish the ones who I can call.

Well, my husband is making an effort to remember my birthday (since I turned 31)...and that means a lot to me.
My old friends forget my birthday and I don't remind them. But I remember theirs (did I mention that I have a good memory?)
one of my new friends....asked me to remind her when my bday's around the corner...lol...and she reminds me of her's (I don't need to be reminded because her's is a few days after my younger son's bday!..but she still does).
Thank you for the wishes....mine is on Dec 30th.
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you whenever it is:)

Mine will be on the 22nd of June... I am glad that your husband is remembering your birthday. That would feel good.
I may have to remind my boyfriend.... perhaps... and my other friends too...
I expect it.
It is good that you have a good memory.
LOL... mine is good at times and horrible at other times. :)

I remember Birthdays of each and every one of my friend. By friends I mean close friends because these days we tend to refer to anyone whom we interact as a friend. While I make a note of it in my computer I am not required to see it always because I remember their birthdays by heart.

Not many forget my birthday - it's December 25th. They don't really care that it's my birthday, but they don't forget :)

lol..that's a date hard to forget even if you wanted to.
But mine's on Dec 30th (a day before New year's eve) and I'd be happy if they connected with that and remembered on the 31st at least.
2007 was the first time that a few of my friends remembered on the 31st and my husband remembered on the right date!

Oh, yours isn't quite a holiday, but it's close enough that I'm sure people remember it AROUND the right day. If you'd only been a day later it would have made all the difference. I honestly feel bad for any December/January birthdays - we all get left out!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
sorry it's late though!

Thanks, but it isn't very late either! Yeah, I decided to come out a day early:)
But before I was married, we always had a christmas/birthday/new year bash with 3 cakes...the christmas tree...and lots of fun...sometimes it went on for 2-3 days and we had loads of fun.
Now, I find it's only my parents and sister who remember to wish me and we aren't even staying close to each other....parents are in a different continent and sister's in another state.

lol..I am surprised when he forgets it even after I remind him the night before. Now he keeps track of it using his cell phone. So, last month I deleted it...but he remembered the day after my birthday that it was the day before..lol. Knowing my husband that sure is an improvement!

A lot of people remember my birthday. I get cards from my dad and my grandmother and my kids always get together and make me something. I'm not big on birthday celebration and wouldn't care if people forgot about it. I wish I could forget about it. LoL

I told my husband, who remembers EVERY birthday and anniversary, not to say a word about my birthday this year. The day came and went very quietly with only my immediate family wishing me well. That is exactly how I wanted it. That day only reminds me that I am getting older!

only a few also. mostly my family. i don't blame the others, my birthday is within the holiday season and almost everyone is so busy relaxing and having fun, they would tend to forget about me =(, that's ok i guess. hopefully, my family will never forget my birthday, ever!

I usually only remember close family members, but there is a free service which I use. It's called Birthday Reminder. You can email people to enter their birthday info to you or you can enter the info yourself. Two weeks they email you to remind you, and then again a week from their birthday. It's very helpful, and I love it because people are so surprised because I remembered, hehehehe.

Yep every year we usally do something on my birthday. We awlays go to a chinesse place with me and my family. Weve been doing that since I was a kid. I use to have slumber parties and had about 5 of my friends sleep over when I was a kid but that stopped when I was 16 those were good times I miss those days. But if the celtics play on my birthday then I will go see them like I did a few years ago. That was probally my favorite birthday gift.

Today is my birthday. All day I have been receiving messages from people wishing me a happy birthday. It's surprising to me how many people have remembered my birthday.

My sister in law usually remembers, sometimes my other sister in law remembers, my husband's best friend usually remembers too, and my sister, my mom, my dad, and sometimes my brother, and my husband's aunt. And of course my husband and my kids.
Mostly I will just get an email or a phone call, but that is fine. My husbands aunt always sends a card, but she lives far away.
