I haven't been sleeping well and been crying for days because my family is having some difficulties. I was so worried and feeling really unlucky in life then I receive an email from a friend. I realized I shouldn't feel like this because there are a lot more people who are less fortunate than I am... I wanna share this story and video that had given me a sharp tap to wake me up...
"This is a true story:
A son says to his father,"Dad, would you be willing to run a marathon with me?
The father, despite his age and a heart disease, says,"YES."
And they run that marathon together.
The son asks,"Dad, can you run another marathon with me?" Again the father says "YES."
They run another marathon together.
One day the son asks his father, "Dad will you please do the Iron Man with me?"
Now just in case you don't know, "The Iron Man" is the toughest triathlon that exists: 2.4 mile swim, then 112 mile by bike, and finally another marathon 26.2 mile running, in one stroke.
Again the father says "YES"
See this video to know what had touched my heart and had given me an insprition to be tougher and be more positive... This shows how great love is...

Now this is my question: Have you ever been so down and been given a tap by a friend, by a glimpse of quote to ponder upon, by a text in the Bible, by as simple as video you received or came upon?

I've had all those: taps, kisses, hugs, words of encouragement, bible quotes, pray-over sessions, what else? Name it! You have it! LOL
But I had to be honest, they didn't seem to penetrate because I just felt that my problem was so big only God can solve it. My mom was dying of cancer that time. By the way, she's in peace now with the Lord.
Don;t get me wrong, I was thankful for the people who showed support during those times but like I said, nothing could seem to make me feel better. I guess we were at our weakest during those times.

oh I'm sorry... I lost my dad too... and not one encouragement got to me for a year and same goes for my entire family... and my gratitude for the people who stood by us at those times, too... but yeah, it's only our will to let our dad, who is already up there in heaven too, know that we are going to be stronger than we were before... and we did...though there are still situations that give us stress and pull the corner of our mouths down lol...
hugs to you... ^_^
thanks for responding ^_^

I'm sorry Theresa. I do know where you are coming from. Been there when my dad passed away and my mom kept fading right before our eyes. she misses my dad and I know how much she loves him and still does... but we always tell her that dad left me and sibs to let her see that we're still here for her... yeah I am melodramatic when it comes to my family hahaha
hugs ^_^

wow That was beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes I swear. It was very touching. Thank you so much for the video. I have saved it to my favourites and also am sending it to my brother and friends. This video just shows how silly we are to be complaining and making excuses for not doing something. It is very thought provoking and motivational. I really thank you for the video.

thank you, too, Nikky...
yep this was shared by a friend to me when I was really down and being pessimistic about my problems... I'm glad it had also touched you... I love this video because it made me feel guilty hahaha for not thanking that I have a much more normal life than the man in the video who is trying to give his son the same normal lives that we are living today...
Love is a sacrifice and even the most imperfect person have the right to feel love and be loved... that's the greatest gift that God gave to us... I think the only thing we ought to do is to be thankful and live life as he had asked us to... I think this video really gave me a big spank on my tushy to be more positive hehehe
thanks for responding nikky...
hey, I hope you will have a really great weekend... ^_^

That is incredible and beautiful that Father and Son. Crazy, but beautiful.
Yes, quite often my friends help me by providing words of inspiration or some kind of help. When my family starts to run out of food, we have a friend who usually is cleaning out her cupboard and throwing out passed dated canned or boxed food and we take it. It helps us to make it through.
Usually something happens when we're done and out to help us. Thanks and take care.
