Hi buddy, There has been much talk about this and I expect there will be a lost more as the time get closer. I don't believe the world will end unless we bring it upon ourselves. The planet will probably be around for another billion years or more but we can destroy civilization as we know it which is the thing for us. I don't believe that this is going to happen but I do believe that a big change is coming which make life better for everyone on the planet. Unless this happens and happens soon, it may be too late, but the choice is ours. I don't believe 2012 means anything, it could happen this year or in five or six years but I believe that it won't happen because I believe we will wake up in time to save our civilization. Blessings.

Hi buddy
I don't believe it.
Leave alone the world. Can any one tell what is going to happen to us tomorrow?
When we are not sure of what is in store for us for tomorrow, why to believe in those
predictions?
Believe in today. And live for today.
Don't worry about past or future.Be happy today. And you will be happy everyday.
Happy mylotting

The world is going to end when Jesus Christ returns to Earth after the rapture to deal with Satan one last time. That is all I need to know....

No one knows when the world will end so, no, I don't believe in the theory about the Mayan calendar. I do know that there are events mentioned in the Bible that will occur prior to the End of Days and, as far as I know, none of them have happened. In reality, the end of the world as far as each of us is concerned is when you die so live each day as if it were your last.

I don't believe it. I laugh at it. How many people were building bomb shelters for Y2K? Come on, its just another way to scare people or to get people to believe in something. I hear people talk about this all the time.. Keept telling me to prepare myself. I just smile and say, my bomb shelter and supplies are still intake from the HUGE Y2K melt down we had, so I'll just crawl in there. Usually I get the person to relax and smile. The worst is my mother in law. She worries about EVERYTHING.. I'm not kidding you. If i'm driving home from her house, we have to call her when we get home.. she thinks we get in a wreck if we wait and call her.. Its insane. She keeps talking about this whole 2012 thing, I just think people are always going to have a reason to think the world is ending, why worry yourself about it. If it ends, it ends, what can you do?

The Mayans and the ancient people were looking at a very different sky than we see today. The Axis Mundi and the subsequent breakup of this stack of planets above our north pole were prominent in their skies. Anything written about todays times with respect to ancient calenders must use a lot of scrutiny. If I believe the world will end in 2012, should I be scared?

To expand on what I had said...even if we were looking at the same sky the ancients were looking at when they made these prediictions. We are interpetting all this information from a very western viewpoint. They did not mean that the world would just end, but, rather replenish and cleanse itself. While I do believe this is entirely not only possible but probable in the not too distant future, I don't believe it is any more probable in 2012. Furthermore, if the world does end in 2012, I don't see this as evidence of the Mayan calender predicting it would happen. In other words, ask me in 2013.
