I don't think popcorn is good for ANYONE; all it is is carbs and fat, and doesn't provide any kind of nutrient.

Hi, YES! Popcorn alongwith whole-grain stuff, like breads,whole-rice,cereals,oatmeal etc increase whole-grain & fibre content in body, which in turn may prevent Type-2 diabetes.study proved it. =Lahiri,Kolkata,India.

In moderation, and in consideration of the rest of one's diet, a diabetic can eat anything they wish. A cup of popcorn without butter or a ton of salt is a reasonable snack while watching a movie. A huge tub loaded with butter & salt like you get at the theater is not a good snack for anyone. Because of the carbs a diabetic would want to eat it at a time when they haven't had another high carb food item.
