I want to know some of thrifty things you have done. We all know the economy is bad and people are losing jobs left and right. With all that in mind we have to figure out ways to stretch every penny we have. So how have you made your dollar stretch. I am talking like homemade remedies/solutions, couponing, extra job, etc. Thanks!

hi amoora .. well lately i'v been thinking about how to save .. but i don't do a lot , i mean i only use this site when i buy something online its called http://www.retailmenot.com/ .. this site got coupon almost for everything and i love it
once it saved me $20 and i can get free shipping .. it depends on the store I'm buying from ..
you can find a really good deals online and cheap stuff too but what is disturbing for me is the shipping price ..
i wanna give you and example
once i bout a hanger from ikea .. it was $7 .. cheap and i like it .. its a spacial hanger got 28 holes in it to put the scarfs .. so i bought two .. but thir shipping costed $17 ..its more expensive than my hanger.. and i had to buy them cause i don't have any ikeas around me .. you see my point?

I will check out the site, thank you for sharing. I don't buy online much, I am not sure why though. That is awesome that you got the scarf hanger thing. I saw that at ikea one time, I really liked it. I was considering getting one for myself but I got a different one. I got the one made for pants. it has a normal hanger look but with 3 flat bars connected so you can put pants on it. I use it for my scarf. I have alot more then 28 scarves :-S so I need something to hold all of them. So for 3 of these hangers I paid $4.99 plus tax which is so cheap. And I got all my scarves on there. I think I wanna buy another set soon because I just went scarf happy and bought a few more. I know it isn't as organized as the one you got but at least all my scarves are hung up. Thanks for sharing aconites!

In this crumbling economy, we need to get help wherever we can find it! Visit my blog which you can find in my profile. I love to search the net and find good sites for deals and freebies and post them on my page. I hope that people find it useful and can get some use from the websites. Have a great one!

i agree with you that we need to share tips on how to save. the crisis is simply too much to be burdened by one person. i would like to share my ways on how to stretch my dollars. when i want to buy something, i ask myself if i can forego that today. is there any way that i can survive without it? then i look around for promos. if i can buy one with some free stuff, then i take it. i hope this helps.

That is awesome. I am a shopaholic and it has been difficult to tell myself that I don't need something, especially when the price is great. I also use slickdeals.net They have alot of awesome forums and they tell you were all the good deals are. Alot of freebies too. Thanks for your response.
