Hello Guys! I hope you can share on this: do you still shop for yourself these days, how often? Or you're giving it up already to give way to much more important stuffs for the entire family or for loved ones. I'm just curious about this because it seems because of the prevalent crisis in the economy, I force myself to forget to shop for myself but instead do it for loved ones instead..it's as if I feel guilty if I buy stuff for myself, or is it the feeling that you're expecting others to buy things for you? What can you share on this? Thanks a lot and happy posting!

Not often at all. Maybe once every 6 months. I am always buying for everyone else. They need it more than me.

Very seldom do I break down and go shopping for myself. It's always for the kids, or other family members. I make sure my kids have the things they need before I will even consider buying anything for me. I am in need of a lot of new things but I just can't seem to talk myself in to getting those things. I'll just keep my worn, old things, they work just fine, lol.

Well, I shop for my self but not frequently because it is a waste of money.I am contented of a few dresses or things I have.If I buy things every time it will be discolored at the same time.It is not a wise shop.I tend to shop for the important things that is needed in the school and daily activity.

I don't get to shop for myself much for now because I am setting up my business and all money goes to there. Now at most I would go shop for myself once a month and usually it's about clothes or shoes. Sometimes I could survive without buying anything for myself for like a quarter or so.

I don't shop for myself unless I absoluely need something. I think that it is more important that my kids and husband have the things they need and some of what they want. I am used to doing without, and it just doesn't bother me to do so. I do not expect others to buy things for me either. As a matter of fact, I am the type to sincerely tell someone that it means more to me that they give me a call than it does for them to spend their money on me.
I think that too many people buy things thatthey on't really need, and in the end, it causes them financial hardships. If they would conserve and buy only what they need, they would find tht finaces are a bit easier to cope with.

Due to my condition, I seldom do that. But if I have the chance, I always buy a lot of good books. Happy posting my friend...

I find that I don't have time to shop for myself. The kids are in activities and I feel like I'm constantly running, which kind of leaves me with no timeto shop. The amount of money invested in gymnastics, karate, soccer, and baseball makes me not want to shop - period.
The exception I do make is when I get money as a gift. When I do spend this money, I ask myself if it's something that I REALLY want, or if it will just end up being a waste of money.

It seems these days I do personal shopping a lot less than I used to, but when I do it's usually something significant.
My last personal purchase was a new car.
I'm not counting stuff like shirts or necessities, I'm only considering things that could be considered unnecessary or a luxury.
Most of the time I'll go into a store or shop online with the intention of picking up something for myself, but end up buying for the house, dog or family.
I hope the economy picks up soon, I've been eyeballing a new smoker....
