Hello there! I love watching movies, in the interner of by DVD and CD. I usually turn off the lamp to make me focus in the movie and take care of my eyes. Watching movie in the dark make me comfortable and feel the darkness of the cinema LOL. How about you? Do you turn off the lamp while watching movies?

I also love watching movies and it depends on the movies in turning on and off the lamp. if the movie is horror I prefer the light is on but if the movie is romantic I love it when the lamp is off..lol haha.. happy mylotting

Hello, Normally if I watch the movies alone, then I will not switch off the lamp. It is a small monitor to display the movie so I don't think it is a big deal. But when I watch in groups and the movie is screened in the projector, I prefer to have the lamp turned off.

I agree that the light must be off if we whatch movie in a group especially in a hall. I feel dsiturbed if there's people moving around so that I can not focus in the movie and just wondering what the people do at that time LOL.

Not usually. Sometimes if I am watching a horror movie, I like turning the lights off because it makes the whole movie more scary and more fascinating. However, normally, I just put the movie on and then sit down and watch. I don't have to have the lights off to enjoy the movie, not unless the lights are glaring off the TV and making it more difficult to see.

I guess it just depends. If we are watching a movie with my fiance's parents most likely we will not turn off the light. If we are alone or with a friend then we usually turn off the light so as to enjoy the movie.

Well.. yeah.. My partner always want us to watch movie in the dark, I never be able to sense the logic since whether we watch it with t he light on or off would make no different to me. I would still enjoy the movie as well. But she said that with the lights off she would be able to enjoy the movie better, just like while she was watching the movie at the cinema. Silly reason though, because we never have the home theater with large tv screen and good sound system...

Yes, I have to switch off the lamp, but not the entire light in the house, the lamp near the TV is the one I have to switch off when watching movies to concentrate on the scenes.

I prefer to watch movies on TV and the pc with the lights on. I feel my eyes have to strain a bit more in the dark. It may be just a misconception, but I am not yet comfortable watching movies on small screen with the lights out.

we have a three year old son so we watch the movie with the lights on. if we watch when he is sleeping already then we watch it with the lights out. but we dont watch movie on the pc. we watch it on tv using the dvd player. the screen of the pc is not that big for us to watch it with enjoyment.

Sometimes, I'll switch off the lamp, when I'm watching a movie. I think it just depends on the time, and such. There are times, when I'm in the mood to do so. But there are also times, when I'm really not.

i like to keep the light on. it's not that good for your eyes that the light is off while watching tv or computer.. how ever it does give a good quality to viewing while the light is off. the picture will be more visible.
