I don't think 1000th psot is anything to shout about?

Well, I'm not here to announce my 1000th post as like the title said - it's nothing to shout about. It's just like when we're younger we get straight As or good results or Grade 1s, but as we go higher in terms of education & when we look back, we find it to be so immature to "celebrate" over every little "achievement. I just checked in my profile - I've been a member here since 11 months ago & I've just made it to a 1000th post. That means I've only slightly more than 90 posts a month? Wow, that's really bare minimum if I look at it that way plus I've only made 2 payouts, although the 3rd one would be soon. Hmm, so is there actually anything to brag about? I like my wife that just keeps on posting & never even bothered about the number of posts. In fact many of you know she joined later than me but has more posts than me due to her diligence in responding to posts as she's not the start a new discussion type? Yes, thinking out loud I am....

Well, I'm not discrediting it all together but what I'm saying when you look back fromm when you have 10000 posts, 1000 posts is just like a drop in the bucket. And yeah, I agree, you should be able to reach 1000 posts by today, haha

. I remember how it felt good when I got mine. I know about your wife and I know how active she's here that's why you're earning passively from her that even though you have a little amount of posts you still got 2 payouts. I hope it would happen to me too..ehehe

ha ha ha ha ha... it doesn't really matter. But if there are people who wants to celebrate that milestone, let them. You wet blanket you!
Life is all about celebration. I once attended a seminar. In that seminar, the speaker is saying that humans beings need to feel good about themselves. And in order to feel good, we celebrate. And when we feel good, we will tend to see things in a more positive light. And when we see things in a more positive light, we tend to be more productive.
So in order to kick start all these, we celebrate our achievements. No matter how big or how small that achievement may be, we celebrate it some how.
So, celebrate! You got your first 1000 post milestone! AND a payment coming up! Celebrate!

It may not be a major thing, especially to those who have passed it I agree. I am getting closer with every post... unfortunately some days I get on and find that I have lost 2 or 3 posts so that makes it even harder LOL but I am working my way towards 1000, I am hoping to be there by friday... possibly or sunday... anyway I want to make it there this week!

HahaThe posts being decreased thing, I guess that happens to everyone!~ No matter, you're just 99 posts away as of now, which isn't far fetched at all!~ So all the best!~ You should be able to reach there earlier than you think as I see you're very active here!~

Hmm. The 1000th post is probably a great achievement for some people. I'm clearly not at all close to reaching it so i don't believe its as important to me as other peoples.

Well, you have a point. If someone was here for about 2 months and reached their 1,000th post I guess THAT would be something to shout about, but 1,000th post in just under a year isn't really anything impressive.
However, it's still a milestone and you should be proud of yourself. At least you still remember this place and are active, even if it is at a minimum. I have been a member for about a year now and don't have much over 1,000 myself!

I would think that it is an accomplishment, an acheivement to be proud of for you as you've not been posting regularly on here. I did not know that you had a wife on here, but knowing me she's probably on my friends list and I just did not know it! lol! Well I will say congratulations to you on your acheivement!

Yes I am not really bothered about the number of posts. I did not even realised that I have reached 1000 post and past it till it was pointed out to me. My focus is more on the 3 figures with a dot on top of the page. Everytime i log in I would look at that first. Till now if someone ask me what is the number of my post....I don't know. I mean I have to look at it. But I do know my earnings off hand...heheheheh!!!
