Why is Awsurveys such a popular site?

In the past six months that I have been here, I have noticed that awsurveys is always popular among the new arrivals on mylot and to the "make extra money" interest. Everyone always must inform them that it is a scam because it is impossible to reach the minimum payout without referrals and even if you do, they do not pay. So my question is, why is awsurveys such a popular site? Is it the high minimum payout? The simplicity of earning? $1.25 per referral? What makes it so popular?

The popularity of aw surveys is their surveys. They do not conduct surveys like other companies do.In other companies we take half an hour to complete the survey. Here we take just a minute to complete the survey.Everyone knows its a scam site.It become so popular in India that people were sending this link random by email.

Because they are able to bring in more people when people leave. So if one person leaves the site, I would estimate more than 3 would come in to replace the person that left. I think there are some secret promoters of the site as well.

I believe it's because of their promises of quick money for little effort. That's appealing to everyone whether it's true or not! It's also the fact that they pay about 5% of the people that join the site as long as they bring in enough people. It's a big waste of most peoples time. Here, you can see more of my opinion in the blog entry below, http://howtomakemoneyonlinefreelancejobsinfo.blogspot.com/2009/04/is-awsurveys-scam-website-or-legit.html

I skimmed through your blog post and have to agree with it. It is only surviving off of its popularity. I think its a big waste of EVERYONE's time, as you will be lucky to be part of that 5% that gets paid with millions of members.

I noticed that too. I have an awsurveys account I have $31.35 is in it but i haven't gotten anything after that. I know you need 75 to cash out. My friend got a payout from them 3 years ago or something. I cant quite remember but i know she did.

Do you think you could ask her for to give you the proof to post here? I have never actually seen any payment proof from that site myself and am wondering if people really do get paid.

The reason it's popular is because a lot of people fell into its trap. But then, some people are claiming that they earned money from AW.Surveys so that leaves benefit of the doubt to other people especially the newbies. Newbies will try to reach the minimum payout of 75 dollars simply by referring. The first time you sign up, you'll earn 27 dollars by answering all the initial surveys. To reach the minimum payout, you have to keep on referring people! Approximately, one needs to have up to 39 referrals to redeem the money. Obviously, I am one of those people who fell into its trap. I just reached $75 last week and I already requested for the payment (alertpay). Honestly, I don't know why my account is still active as what I heard from other myLotters, your account will get disabled once you reach the minimum payout or at least once your near $75. I got a message that I will receive $50 within five business days. So I am just waiting right now for nothing... One good thing I did was I saved all the screenshots for the messages that I got from AW.surveys, including their promise that I will get my money. Hmmm let's see what will happen. I will use these screenshots to warn other people in case I don't get my money.

I think that doubt is also what makes some beginners so determined to earn and get paid at that site. Like you, I fell for their trap also but soon quit afterward. I hope you actually get paid but do not expect anything from them. You will be very lucky to get paid. Happy mylotting!

Even I joined that website and the thing i've noticed is also the same. We get only few surveys at the first time and then we don't see any surveys at all. And rest is earned by refferals, everyone says they pay. But never paid. Such a waste of time it was.I could have done so much at that time lol.

This scam survey presents itself as too good to be true and in the process, those who join it try to turn to mylot to advertize it, sadly, they dont understand that it is a red eyed scam and a real time waster! Advise your friends into AW to stop wasting time because they would be investing invaluable time in scam!

That makes sense why we see so many newbies trying to get referrals to that site. I also think that the people who tell the newbies it is a scam try to get referrals for themselves, claiming their sites are "legit." Well, I think we should have a website with the words "Awsurveys is a SCAM! DO NOT JOIN!" in huge font and red. I think it would come up in a lot of searches with the words "awsurveys" and "awsurveys scam." Happy mylotting!

What makes it popular is because many are still unconvinced that it is a scam. Initially when one sign up for an account, $27. is something big that encourage people to continue only to realize months after that it will take years to reach minimum payout without referrals. You are right, I still encounter newbies here that they are requesting to join them at AWSurveys. Someone also sent me referral links, but I would decline and say that it is a scam and share them my experience. We cannot really control others even when you tell them it is a scam.

I have to say that from personal experience, that $27 does look very nice and encouraging. It is more than a third of the minimum payout so it would seem that earning the other two-thirds would be extremely easy and quick. I realized it was a scam when I did not get an email informing me that I had a new survey waiting for me for weeks and then months. We should still inform them that it is a scam site even if they don't believe us. At least they will learn a lesson from the experience. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting!

Many people are interested in AWSurveys because it is so easy to make lots of money on that site. People have to realize that it is a scam and do some research before joining. I heard you can make something like $25 on that site in 10 minutes. I don't know why there are still anyone on that site. They are a scam and don't pay anyone.

Yes, that is very true. Even I fell for the scam. We should always do research before joining a site. I do not think they ever paid in the first place although someone here and there says a friend they know got paid.

I too have joined Awsurveys and got $27 as sign up bonus.I too thought that it is not tough to reach at a minimum pay out of $75 but after registration i waited for almost two months and got no surveys.I then joined mylot and came to know that it is not a legit site and deleted my account soon after. Mylot is a great forum where you can get loads of information about legit and scam sites. The members here are generous enough and they share their success and failures in sites through the mylot medium which is inspirational and informative for newbie.

it's because the earnings that they offer is very big, we can get $27 just for a few minutes and that's make all of the visitor of the site obsessed to be the member of the site including me. we can get $27 very easy but in the next day we can't get any dollars because none surveys that we can fill, except we have to do referral program. so because of that reason they promoted this site to every one to get a referrals

Well I hope you learned your lesson that there is no such thing as free money and that this site is a scam. I learned this the hard way as well. I got a few extra dollars by signing up under myself. They do not seem to prevent you from doing that. I would probably have not been paid if I reached the payout. I guess the need for referrals is why they always come to mylot. Happy mylotting!

I am happy to have found this Discussion. I've been writing reviews for other sites and posting my opinions up on my Blog. This particular site was next on my long list of sites to review. Rather than rush into AW today, I believe I'll go out and enjoy the sunshine instead Thank You ~Garm

personally have used a lot of survey sites but have never even heard of that one and a minimum payment of 75.00 how ridiculous is that i notice at first with most survey sites you get a lot of surveys at the beginning but as time goes along you seem to get less and less my favorite site that does pay is inboxdollars they will actually pay you to try out sites even if its just a trial basis like blockbuster or netflix or columbia house or something like that i have been paid twice by them

I think that awsurveys make it seem not nearly as difficult by giving you over a third of the minimum payout. I am already a member of Inboxdollars but do not stay active as I did not realize they do not pay via Paypal when I joined. I know dollarsurveys pay as I earned my first few dollars from that site. No sign up required. But sadly its only for people in the US.

it's probably because of the promoters that they have (people supporting them) , because i have been there too also and they are a rip off. They really don't pay you, and i found that out the hard way (by taking surveys and waiting).

Maybe but I have seen a lot of regular people on mylot promoting them. They are the biggest scam on the internet in my opinion. Luckily, I did not spend a lot of time on it.

I joined this site before and I didn't earn anything there, I did some reviews and I got tired of waiting for more reviews to be avaialable. I think it is a scam because I don't hear people are getting paid from the site. And earning $1.25 is a bit high and unbelievable. For me, it is not a popular good site for making surveys and earning money.

Yes, the only reason is we earn 30$ in 10 minutes. In other sites, it takes 1-2 months to reach 5-10 $ but here it takes minutes. so we get excited and try to refer friends.. to earn more money. but after that we have to wait for years to get another survey... and yes, we need to inform new people who are into online earnings about this scam..
