Mga Kababayan kong Pilipino! Boboto niyo ba si BF?
Anyway, Bayani Fernando in my opinion is the only government person that i have 100% confidence in. He is not corrupt and he doesn't steal from our government. Why would I say that? He managed marikina and I am a marikina citizen and I'm telling you... The Fernandos have managed Marikina really well.. it doesn't flood immediately anymore and we are one of the cleanes cities in the Philippines and our Sports Center is really maintained and a lot more like the creation of condos and malls. I'm not being a Fernando fanatic but he really isn't corrupt.
People say he's going to run... but I doubt he won't win... why? because the poor is against him. Why? because he enforces the law and see to it that they are implemented himself by throwing off squatters and vendors away but isn't that for our own well being too?
Will you vote him??

He made the squatter thing years ago. When he was mayor here. He doesn't have any competitors in Marikina when it comes to election of mayors. LOL as in no ONE hahaha.

Uhmm.. yes I really think so.. Please do go to Marikina if you have spare time and you will know why he deserves to be a president. He's not corrupt...I witnessed how he fixed marikina in just a matter of years... He even made a big lot for squatters to live in and he made the houses.

Hello jamborieman! I am happy because you gave us some information about Bayani Fernando. Honestly, I have heard a lot of bad and good things about him on the news so I am not sure whether I will vote him or not as a President. For us here in the province or in the other city, it would be hard for us to vote him because we don't know him and we're not sure about his capability to run the country. Maybe if he'll run for senator I might vote him because I got amazed with what you told us about him.

Well... believe me I'm a person against the government... he's the only guy I like in our government. He doesn't use MMDA machinery to plant trees on highways but he uses his "own" machineries.. own trucks and own construction equipment which is completely amazing.
anyway I'm looking like a real Fernando fanatic right now. I should stop.
thank you for you response aisaellis!

in terms of public service, he's one of the executive post that are very effective...
i don't really care if he's corrupt or not (i have seen reasons why a politician will be one) as long as he does what he is supposed to do, and that is to put marikina in order...
i admire him alright, maybe i don't buy the pink paint but he is alright for me, unless there is a better alternative, he already has my vote...

I do believe in the capabilities of Bayani Fernando. He wants the law to be followed strictly. He wants to clean places to look presentable. It's just that some people could not understand what he's up to sometimes.
There will always be oopositionists who will try to destroy whoever will sit in Malacanang.

I know Bayani Fernando(BF) has the competence of becoming the next president of The Philippines... He has done a lot to improve the traffic system, etc... but i'm afraid that he might turn into a tyrant like Ferdinand Marcos.. He's really a strict officer and he doesn't care if our less fortunate brothers and sisters would lose their small businesses...

Well..I guess I'm ok with that. Achieving goals need sacrifices.. just a little bit of patience maybe the key. I even like Marcos lol even though he was a dictator the Philippines was doing well. He's a smart guy

I respect your opinion but he is experienced in handling the government. I think a person who is pure and innocent should be our leader. BF isn't corrupt and of course the side walk vendors won't vote him.. because he throw vendors away..why? he's just implementing the law that is. Implementing laws that has been long forgotten because of hypocrites sitting on the chair.
but still your opinion is your opinion.
thank you for your response!

Yeah, i don't like Bayani Fernando either. I hate his association with the MMDA. I posted before on how the MMDA are like scum. I haven't met a nice and competent MMDA yet. I just really don't like them. And since Bayani is the MMDA head, then their actions speak a lot about his leadership. I hope he doesn't win. Even if he did, I wouldn't support him at all. Yuck!

hello jamborieman.
If ever he will run, there is a possibilities that I will vote for him. it is obvious that he have done good things. I can not say i have 100% confidence that he didn't steal from the government because I don't know how he operate. but being corrupt or not as long as he can show outputs of his work that would be better than politicians ho have nothing else to do except to be corrupt.
Take care

You might be right in your opinion that He will be a good president, he is not corrupt and has good intentions. There are still other presidentiables whom their constituents believed in them and feel the way you do. The problem with our candidates everyone likes to be running for president seems that no one wants to give way and settle for the vice presidency first. We need one president only, thus sometimes a new comer or not so qualified becomes the vice president. I'm from sorsogon and I believed in the qualification of Chiz Escudero, he's young and so talented. He's not corrupt either. He possess all the qualities of a good leader, however I wish he would run for the vice presidency first. He has all the time to become the president but being the vice president first will add to his experiences and qualification to become the best president later. Villar. Loren. Lacson and Roxas are also qualified and will be good presidents but they can't be all presidents at the same time. So why not two of them settles for vice presidency, for sure that would be a good tandem. We can't blame them however, each of them think their qualified so why settle for vice presidency. Even myself I can't decide yet. I know the humility, sincerety of Villar, He is not corrupt although there's an issue with him lately but he maybe just misunderstood or misjudged. He successfully runs his several companies as he would successfully run the country. Lacson is not corrupt either. He's much disciplined being a bemedalled police officer. He'll make up a good president as well. WHat a perfect team it could be for Villar and Lacson or Lacson and Villar but I guess no one of them would give way. Loren and Chiz will do. or Loren and Roxas. Of course there are more to consider when it comes to popularity no one would defeat Noli Boy de castro, this is what lacks with your candidate Bayani Fernando. He has a ngative popularity with the poor. He has good intentions but the hungry poor vendors striving hard just to have something to feed for the their families won't understand. In order to win even in the vice presidency I think he has to do more positive things to make up with the poor. I'm sorry this is just an opinion hope you wont be offended. We know that nobody is perfect but I just pray that God bless to win, those that would make good for a much better Philippines.

I also believe that Bayani Fernando is a good executive manager. He and his wife did a good job as mayor of Marikina and has done more than his predecessors in the MMDA office. Well, I can also say that compared to other presidentiables, he's the most experience in government service. And, he's got balls to do things that he believes in.
How I wish though that he will stop distributing useless MMDA tarpaulins. Believe me, those posters reached even the far-flung provinces that has nothing to do with MMDA. Also, I hope that next time he will approve an innovative project, he should see to it that all other options are explored.

I don't think I would vote for him.
If he had run prior to becoming MMDA chairman, I probably would. Because he had a pretty good reputation when he was mayor of Marikina City.
However, I've changed my mind with what he's done in Metro Manila. There are just so many wrong things in the traffic situation and his agency, MMDA, is not helping at all. In fact, for some, it's even made things worse. Although in terms of his campaign to eliminate the squatter's area, I totally agree with him.
I also don't like the fact that there are just so many pink fences everywhere!!! And it's not just because Filipinos are not disciplined that's why they resist changes such as this, but some are just really illogical if you think about it.
But then again, this is just my opinion ;)

I am from Marikina and I have witnessed how he transformed Marikina into a great city. If he will run I will definitely vote for him. But I doubt if he will win. Why? as you've mentioned he is not popular with the poor people who happen to be the majority voters.
sad.sad.sad.
I still dream that one day we could be like Singapore.

yeah... I want philippines to become PHILIPPINES again... based on my lola's stories.. marcos' time was one of the great times of the Philippines... then it's downhill from that point.
If only the poor people would realize that BF is doing things for the good of all.

Maybe I will vote for him if I can't find the right person to be qualified for the highest position in our country, and yeah, although I'm not residing at Marikina city, I admire it for its fast development and really became one of the most beautiful city in the country.

I will definitely vote for him if his opponents are Panfilo Lacson,Manny Villar or Mar Roxas.I think he is much better person. He has implemented discipline in the city and has no corrupt record. But here in our country people seem to vote for candidates that give them doleouts or popular at the moment.

Hey there! I like BF too. What he has done with Marikina and as an MMDA chairman was awesome. I believe he's one of those people our country really needs to rehabilitate and rebuild this country. I prefer him to run for senator or vice before running for president. So that means I won't vote for him for president come 2010 elections,--- only for that elections. I'll go for Manny Villar for president. He has got what it takes to move this country forward. I believe in his slogan "Sipag at Tyaga". But of course you have to accompany that with honesty and fear of the Lord. The iron is not yet hot for BF to hit. So I suggest that he run for position lower than the presidency.
