Hi, I am not an employee or employer in Indonesia so I don't have NPWP. If I have some business, I will ask my father to register it under his name. Regarding the online money making, I don't think it will be significant amount so that SPT is out of question. There is a cut off about 15 million rupiahs before we are obligated to have NPWP.

yes you are right.
it would be insignificant if it stands alone.
but if we add to our employement salary it will be more than enough to be cut tax art.21.
btw if i declare, i don't know what type of tax earning it is.
do you have any suggestion? in what form and number should i fill?

Hi,
It is quite difficult though. I am not sure how to fill in details but you may ask the tax officer in your area. The problem is that you need to provide a proof on your income and the expenses as well. If there is a field called "other income" then you may want to use that field.

Yup, i have it. I tent my 10 pc with internet connection.I do that because i love my country dude. i have to write report every years, and they include my business to middle class. Still i got a lot problem and unsystematic government make me busy and pay a lot.U have to pay around 50,000 rupiah every signature in tax department. Beside tax department, electric and bandwidth, i have to pay banner when it stand near the main road, town cleaning service, and some freeman that said it for security. Lately, my friends come to me and learning about internet cafe and they do it without npwp [government business permission], and so far so good( i have 6 friends that doing same thing). As i know, police around here don't care about that, they come only for checking window genuine. Keep going bro....

so you have to report monthly, don't you?
police is anothing to do with tax. so i think they won't bother about it

I don't know what Sunset policy is, but you won't get too many people who will admit that they don't report their internet income to the government. The tax men are everywhere, watching for a chance to punish people!

sunset policy is one of the program from general director tax department of indonesia's government.
it aims to increase indonesian to contribute as tax payer.
they give compensation for people who voluntarily register themselves as tax payer. once they registered they will get NPWP id. and for those who aren't registered they will get higher rate of tax.

We don't have anything like that. We have to pay taxes and if we don't we are thrown into prison or have our assets seized. Yet our government officials don't pay taxes for years--when they are caught, they pay the tax and don't have to go to prison. It's very unfair. Indonesia sounds a bit more people-friendly than America where everyone fears the tax man.
