why runescape?

hello fellow runescape players.
i'm just wondering why you play.
alot of my friends ask me this because they say it has bad graphics and so on.
i just want to know your reasons for playing and while we're here what your favorite skill is. mine is mining at lvl 76.

I just like the fact that it's browser based, and doesn't take long at all to load and play. My favorite skill is strength and the graphics aren't bad at all for being played through a website (:

I don't know, it just has always seemed to calm me, and with the other games you have to either pay or there is a story line that ends. Runescape has no story line that is the beauty behidn it, you do what you want, when you want!

Actually, luvandpower, Runescape does have a story behind it.
It's all about the Gods, the many different Gods of Runescape make it go round.
Remember the Elven quests?
Dwarf quests?
God quests?
Runescape doesn't have A storyline, it has several, especially now that Jagex is making these storylines more clear.

The reason I play, is because it gives me some time to relax, and unwind from a hard day at work, or school. I like the graphics, they aren't the best, but they're getting a lot better.
I currently have 99 fletching, as it was my favorite skill.
My other favorite skills include Firemaking, currently 70 going for 99, and Prayer. Mainly because I'm in love with the Prayer emote.

I like to play it to unwind. If I get bored there is always something else within the game that I can go do. I can play with my friends and family as well. Doesn't matter where in the world they are. If they have a computer with internet access chances are we can play together. My sister and I live 500 miles apart. We chat while we play. Keep up with each other better than we even did with emails.

i play runescape because my cousin introduced me to it and it is fun to compete with him over games and this happens to be the game we're copeting over presently

For me, it is the fact that Jagex has made a game where any type of player can join a community that is ever changing. The graphics aren't the greatest but considering it is browser-based, its not bad. Plus, graphics aren't everything. THe only reason I play it is because of the simplicity, yet intense struggle to be the best. I love PVP and the skills that come with it. I believe that jagex has created a sound game, not only that but they try to keep it up to date as much as possible.
