P5000 ($106) gone to waste!

My husband bought a Tungsten Carbide Bracelet for himself worth P5000+, or around $106. He didn't tell me that he was buying it but instead just surprised me that he already bought it. had he told me beforehand, I would have adviced him to buy a gold bracelet instead. He was cautioned that a tungsten bracelet should be taken cared of and he should not drop it for if does so, the bracelet will become useless and will be broken into pieces. Just a few hours ago, my husband accidentally dropped the said bracelet. It broke my heart for the money and bracelet are gone. It was impractical buying it. . .

That is such a waste... some men tend to be stupid when it comes to purchasing stuff... but at least in this case it was a surprise for you... but he should have bought something more durable... since that tungsten bracelet was so fragile... i wouldn't even think of buying one... i hope he learned his lessons...

He learned his lessons the hard way. . . Iwould still go for gold if I would buy a bracelet because it's an investment. Many men are impulsive when it comes to buying or shopping.

Just thinking about your topic..I am surprised that in this day and time that one would squander money on a bracelet, let alone tungsten! Sound like I am being critical..but really am not, possibly I am harbouring some hidden jealousy that there are persons that are not affected by these times, when most of us are guided by "frugal living." AS we are definitely NOT sure of the economic future!

I also don't understand what made my husband decide to buy on that kind of bracelet. As I have said, had I known that he will be buying one, I should have adviced him to buy a gold bracelet instead so we can use it in times of difficult situation. I mean, I can bring it to a pawnshop when the financial need arises.

thanks, spoiledbrat...didn't mean to steal your thunder, but we at least think alike! Many are struggling to put food on the table, pay amenities, keep from sinking and we are talking about flamboyance! dorisday...I am surprised that you are so secure with the future, that a bracelet is necessary for day to day living! I am not hard up, but, the reason that I am not is that I am very thrifty...and very frugal...and a bracelet of any form, just would not fit into my program! Good luck, my dear!

I had no idea that tungsten was so fragile. I probibly wont be buing anything made of it anytime soon but I do appreciate the heads up on the matter. My hubby is the type to go out and buy little treats for himself. So far he has been good through a lot of this but who knows what tomorrow will hold.
