When you get married, do you consult an astrologer for an auspicious day?

I find that astrology plays an important part in all Indian activities, whether it is buying an item for the house, naming a child, traveling or getting married. Some people consult an astrologer for simple things on a regular basis. Hardly anyone ever gets married unless the priest has taken out an auspicious date for the marriage. It is one of the reasons why marriages are so successful in India? Divorce rate is negligible.
Do you consult an astrologer for an auspicious date before getting married in the West or youjust pick up any date which is convenient?

yes i'm an Indian too.as u said we do look out for an auspicious day for marriages.not only for that,we usually do check for auspicious days and timings for each new endeavour we take ,so that we dont face any sort of obstacles in our work and it ends well.and usually we start of any work with a prayer to LORD GANESHA,the remover of obstacles.
