Do you bite your nails?

When I was a teenager I used to bite my nails all the time. I tried getting that stuff that tastes horrible that you put on your nails to stop you biting them, but it made no difference, in fact I think I just got used to the taste. I was really self-conscious about it, but carried on for several years, until suddenly I realised I'd stopped. I have no idea why I stopped, and I haven't bitten them since - I just wish I could do the same with smoking! So do you or did you bite your nails?

I've always had the habit of biting my nails. Then I bought a nail polish similar to nail hardener and applied it for some time and nails grew beautifully but then when I didn't apply any more I went back to biting. No one nail is the same length now

I can remember trying that, but I used to scrape it off with my teeth!

hi
i dont bite my nails and never did too. i really dont how people bite their nails.though i tried to bite my nails,i couldnt.i dont even have the habit of biting nails and when i see them growing,i cut them.i used grow my nails ,some years back but not now.i'm completely off the habit.

I wouldn't want to bite my nails now and can't understand why I used to, but it was a very hard habit to break.

as a child i remember i used to. but stopped when i learnt about the habit as a bad one!!

i don't bite my nails and i never have but i do know someone who did bite their nails, it just became a bad habit for her. she finally stopped but she barely has any nails left cause shes bitten down so far which really sucks!
but congrats to you for stopping, its not a good habit!

No I don't bite my nail, never really have. But, I sure have alot of friends that do! Maybe if I started biting my nails I could quit smoking!

When I was a kid, I used to bite nails too. Just like you, I like to taste weird stuffs on my nails specially if it's salty. Before, I cut my nails through biting it. I don't use nailcutter or something. Right now, I don't do it anymore ofcourse. It would be very unethical to bite your nails. That's how maturity changed me.
