Do you ask for paper bags or plastic bags

in our country, we don't usually have a choice. many department stores are still using plastic, but there are specialty stores now that use recycled paper and paper bags. i once suggested to a mall to use paper bags instead, but nothing happened to that suggestion.

If I know i am going to purchase something, then I try and carry a bag with me. But if that isn't the case, I either avoid taking a plastic bag or but a cloth bag nearby. Most places in India still have not realised the threat of plastic and don't offer paper bags as an alternative

They don't ever give me a choice when I go shopping. I always get plastic bags because it seems that this is all they offer at the stores around here. THen again, I could be wrong! I might just have to ask next time!

They use to ask me but lately I have noticed that they don't ask anymore so I have to tell them what I would like. I usually ask for paper in plastic, it's easier for me to carry. Thank you for your comment :D

I always ask for paper, then I recycle them. Plastic bags do not hold as much. And the stuff rolls out in the car...

I ask for plastic because we save them and use them as trash can liners in the bathroom. You know, those little trash cans?
Its great! You don't have to worry about dumping them. Just grab the bag and replace it with another.

Thats funny I do the exact same thing, I put them in the little barrel in the bathroom!!!
