I am sure all of us know this story that a 13 year old British boy and his girl of 15 year old are going to be parents..he is a father of a girl who if not by him can be passed as his younger sister.. The life of both the children have completely changed.. father at 13.. unthinkable

well, i don't know if this is part of culture or not.
of course it's a big shock but everybody has his own opinion about it. some people might condemn them, some might pity them, others night help them through but in any case their parents should always be beside them to help.
the thing there is are they really mature enough to take and face the responsibility, or will there be chances that because they are still very young they seem just to play.
hope this situation will enlighten everybody.

i had friend that I grew up with in my time where the mother was only 12 and the father 13, so said is true. I do not know what children want to have children when they still are children themselves.

He might not even be the father because his voice has not changed yet. I think that possibly the girl has been impregnated by an older man, and that she is afraid, so Alfie decided to be noble and said he was the father. They might even think that the man who possibly did this, if Alfie is not the father, is dangerous and might hurt her. I hope they both take a DNA test and if it is proved that, Alfie is the father, that they get help like in education so when he is old enough he can support her and if it is proved that the girl was seduced by an older man, that the older man pays and gets the appropriate punishment.

It is quite amazing to see him holding the baby. Alfie looks even younger than 13 to me, I don't know... I have heard that there is a couple of boys aged around 16 who have stepped up and claimed to be the baby's father. Apparently Alfie has agreed to a DNA test. As far as he is concerned he is the father and wants it proven. It will be interesting to find out the results! I do agree with you it is unthinkable. Whoever the father of this baby is let's hope that he will be the best dad he can be for his child. I know, they are so young, hope these two young parents have adequate help is all I can say!

It is really debatable topic though. Seeing at glance on how he hold the baby surprises me that even he looks like younger than 13 years old. I cannot imagine that a boy at that age has a responsibility to be a father. I believe he is not mature enough to do so. However, everything just happens and he should accept that baby as his.
