Do you beleive a relationship should be based on love?

Ok so I was wondering what do you people think of relationships, or lets say what relationships should be based on. Is it that a relationship should be based on love only disregarding all other facts? Or do you believe a relationship should be based on "suitability"? In my opinion finding the "right" partner is better than finding "the one". We may be in love but our circumstances won't let us keep it and if we decide to still keep it we'll have to sacrifice other things like reationships with family. But if you are looking to settle down, what would you choose? Love or Suitability? I personally would go for suitability, cuz this way you'll have less arguments, you'll face less challenges, you won't need to break your relationships with close ones, and you'll be suitable for each other in many other ways. When we are in love we a blind and dont see many things. But it's just my opinion, and actually I'm married to person different from me very much. I'm not being racist, I'm not stereotyping, I'm not prejudcing. I'm myslef married to a man of race other than mine, from different culture, with traditions different from mine, and we are facing many challenges, like many others of similar marriages, and the problems like others from similar marriages. I don't mean to disgrade anyone though. I also aknowledge that even in the so called perfect relationships there are problems. I just want opinions.
