I think it depends on the maturity of the child. My kindergartner is much wiser beyond his years, and he knows the show is just silly nonsense. Of course he doesn't understand all of the humor yet, but he certantly knows not to repeat the bad words he hears or even think about acting out any of the scenes. I think the worst thing the show did to him is to put that Surfin' Bird song in his head. However, I don't let my 8 year old watch the show because of her maturity level.

I love Famiy Guy, but I don't think it is suitable for children to watch.

Children shouldn't watch Family Guy cos it has roo much adult content unlike the simpsons which can appeal to adults and kids.

Eventually they will be introduced to just about everything included in family guy, but if you want to wait until the time comes that's anyone's personal decision. The violence part i can understand...children see violence they want to do that same thing. But most of the jokes are too hard to understand for any younger children

I know I won't let my kids watch it. I think there is a lot of humor if you will in that show that they just wouldn't understand anyway but there is also a lot of violence and other questionable material. We don't even let our young kids watch the Simpsons yet and that is tame compared to the Family Guy cartoon.

It just depends on the person. I let my 5 yr. old nephew watch it. The show make him sit down. We all be needing a break. He just be all over the walls. Stewie really helps us out.

No! Children should not be watching Family Guy! It an adult animated show! It has alot of stuff a child won't understand! You are the not the first person who thinks Family Guy is for childen! Have you ever watched it? If you have not you should and you'll see it isn't for childen!!!!
