Posting pics and emoticons ?

I see all these pretty littles pictures people post and the cute little emoticon expressions they put in there post. I am stuck with my sideways expressions, which I love, cause at least my expressions have a nose :o). So, when do I get the honor of posting pictures and/or emoticons? I know that copy/pasting is 500. Do I have to wait that long to add pictures and emoticons? Thanks for any help!

I'm with you. I want to know this stuff too. Plus how do you know how many posts you have made anyways? and what do the colours mean on the stars anyways?

You can see the amount of post you have done by looking next to your name. The number in parentisis is the number of post. But, that is not a truly accurate number. As it does not count every post. It does not count when you post/start a discussion. It will count when you respond to a discussion, like you did here, but if you respond to the same discussion more than once it does not increase the number. The star colors just go with the number it is. I am not too sure about the stars I just know they can go down. I don't know how it affects anything though.
