is hiphop really dead??

i know there has been alot of discussion all over about the death of hiphop. is it really dead?? or is it dying at a slow pace. if yes then who is to blame???

I hope so, that genre of music gives me a headache. I don't know why. I think it's dying because it's just all about the money, beats and lyrics. It shouldn't be in that order to make it great music. It should have more substance to it than that.

I stick with my answer that it is slowly dying. The hip hop labels are just putting good producers to produce good beats for the songs, but the lyrics are sooo weak and so not why hip hop, rap, etc were so "great". Now it's just about the money. It's not even about the looks, I mean look at 50 cent...hello...he's not the hottest thing out there, but he's hot in the music industry. All they gotta do is market them well, give them good clothes, make them work out, etc...that's it. It's so shallow now, that genre should die quick, so tired of it.
