Hi,
tell him something which is 'sensitive', but NOT TRUE.
Let him spread it & ultimately he will be prove himself as Liar/not trustworthy.
People will not believe him, in future.
That's his punishment,do u also want it?

If you have been friends for 5 years now, I would assume you have a relationship in which you can sit down with him/her and talk straight. Explain that you don't like that they are spreading rumors about you, and sharing your personal conversations with others. If this friend refuses to stop, then perhaps they aren't really a friend.
