what's the reason behind someone dropping you like a hot potato?

I was going it with this guy for about 2 months and everything was smooth sailing(well, as far as I know) then one day, I woke up and noticed that he's out out of my life already. No calls, no text messages.. nothing! He didn't even say goodbye. Now I'm really confused. He told me that he really likes me and all.. I even started believing in him and now I guess I was wrong. I really hate the fact that he had become a part of my daily routine and now I just miss him.
Was there an instance wherein you've been dropped like a hot potato? Were you able to find the reason as to why that happened?

This has happened to me a few times and there are so many reasons why...one guy already had a girlfriend and when I found out about it (from her) they were taking a 'break' from each other. Another one didn't know what he wanted and ended up with another guy. Another one dropped off the planet when I found out my ex told him that if he kept seeing me he was going to make his life miserable. So as for you, there are a lot of reasons why guys just drop off the planet. Maybe you were just too much for him..you are going to miss him for a little while but trust me guys come like buses when you miss one another shows up on schedule..just get into whatever interests you and everything should be okay...

yeah,, you're most probably right. It's good that you know the reasons why 'those' happened to you. I don't know, I just cant seem to completely move on right now. All I can think of is my one-sided reason as to why 'that' happened. Oh well..
Thank you so much for the post ^^

Oh see I found out the truth behind these losers because back then I was obsessive and needed to know it was something that wasn't directly me..you don't have to do that and neither do I...there are too many guys in the world...

Wow, that's tough. You have no closure and you have no idea what happened even. What a jerk. You know, some guys are just jerks. I know this sounds odd or a cliche but at times guys treat you the way they think they can. I'm not saying it was your fault, but maybe he saw a side of you in which he thought he could treat you that way. I'm not saying that what he did was right, but you shouldn't let people treat you this way again.
