David beckham had been no. 1 for a long time but now he's grown old and lost stamina and agility..So maybe he's still good but it'll be biassed to call him no. 1 now.In the presence of great players like ronaldo,rooney,messi and kaka,his presence seems somewhat faded..The world's best would be either ronaldo or messi for me as they posses great skill , agility and power ..They've made huge differences in today's football and worked wonders for their teams..

He is the most famous football player in the world, he is the best one combining ability with appearance, but he is not the best player, so I don't agree with you. Of course, I like Beckham because he is diligent, professional and self-discipline. He has got wealth and honor, but he doesn't lose himself like Ronaldo, he knows who he is and what he likes.

I've never ever regarded David Beckham as the world's best player. Even in the earlier years, I had thought of players like Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, or even Zidane, as better players than Beckham. I think his ability is over-hyped and too much attention is given to him by the press, probably motivated by profits since anything about Beckham sells. I think currently, the best players are Lionel Messi or Christiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo himself has been voted the best player so many times now. Beckham doesn't even come close.

In my opinion at this time to David Beckham is not the best player. Kaka, Steven Gerard and Lionel Messi are considered more appropriate as the world's best players.

David Beckham is very good at what he does but he is by far not the worlds best player. Look at Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Leonel Messi before even thinking about Beckham. David Beckham is a great ambassador for football

Well in terms of Popularity i presume David is on top but when you talk about skills and quality, i don't really think he is there are other players that have so many complete qualities than David, the likes of Kaka, Messi, Cr7, Ibrahimovic and many others are still technically better than David

Beckham might be the best at what he does and in his position- midfielder. He cant be compared to the likes of Ronaldo who is a wing/center forward same with same with Messi. Beckham has been the runner up for FIFA footballer of the year twice but that was quite a few years back. But if id have to choose the world number 1 id say Ronaldo, he's just struggling in the games cos hes marked by three players every game. :D
