hi, everyone, do you or did you chitchat in class? or in lectures? if so, why? Did/Do you find any fun in your chitchat? the reason behind this may be we are bored. Students are most often bored when the class is either too easy or too hard. talking too much in class may also be looking for attention and recognition. let's share.

haha, interesting, i see most people share the same experience of chitchat, yeah, most likely due to the dullness of class or lecture. How could an attractive lecture lead to students' chit chat? thanks.

Ive found myself talking in lectures nearly everytime I attend. Sometimes I have to ask myself if theres any point in going at all. I dont tend to take in what the lecturers talk about since Im chatting and also the lectures tend to be quite dry and boring. No-one takes attendance registers since the class has over 400 students.

yes i did, my most memorable experience in high school was when my terror biology / science teacher caught me talking to my seatmate (all i did was answer my seatmate's question!) and he asked me what was the last sentence the speaker in front was talking about ( i was not sure if my answer was correct) so i just said i did not know. he made me stand until the bell rang =(

Yes, I used to sometimes. Mostly I would like to sleep on the lecture which I'm not interested, it did not affect others who want to listen the lecture.

I used to do sometimes, preferably during classes of boring lecturers. It's great fun. But, I take precautions not to disturb others who wants to listen to the lecture. I'm having fun in my own way, without interfering in others interests.
