Yes, im speaking of the 8 year old and the 11 year old that being charged with murder..well one so far..as i have read the 8 year old is not being charged. but has to be in a treatment facility. We will start with the first child.. 11 year old... goes hunting with his father, his father buys him a gun.. the boy is aloowed to keep this gun in his possesion...one day he shoots his fathers girlfriend who happends to be 8 months pregnant... put the gun back and rides the buss to school... when he was picked up by police from school then said there was a black truck on the property that morning leading them to go searching for a such person.... then the little sister implicated him in the murder... From knowing this (because this is all i have read) How would you try this kid... do you feel that the charge of murder and being tried as an adult suffiecient for an 11 year old boy who commited this crime? Now we have a boy who killed his father and a friend of the fathers, who at the time was 8 years old.. after he shot the two men, he ran next door..(again this is all the info i know so were basing it off of this).. He is from what i have herd, not being charged but will spend some lengthy time getting treatment.. Do you feel this is the right choice for him?... *** This is my opinnion** For the 11 year old- from what i have herd of this story. to me it sounds like he knew what he was doing. but i am not investigating it i dont know the kid so i cannot say for a fact... in my opinnion if in fact and it is proven he knew what he was doing. he should be charged with murder.. but i dont mean life or the death penalty.. because a boy at the age of 11 im sure theres a possibility for rehabilitation... *** for the 8 year old.. At 8 years old,its really hard to say wether they KNOW what the consequences are is murder. but im sure they get the concept. but i cant help to think that somthing was going on... and i say that for both children... because what on earth woiuld make an 11 year old and an 8 year shoot and kill there parents. more the 8 year old then the 11 year old though... As for trying this 8 year old... from what i herd they are not charging him like i said in the story.. im just ganna say this.. this may sound REALLY BAD and im sorry if i offend anyone.. but if i were a judge, I would in a heartbeat put away 1 8 year old child for a really really long time if it was going to show every other child that murdering is a serous issue with SERIOUS consequences.. But OF COURSE if its proven this child had been beat all his life or picked on by his father all his life or made to do somthing inhumane all his life.. of course i would opt for just treatment. and this may have been the case but it hasnt been stated anywere that i have seen... I hope for both kids that they do have to face punishment for what they have done,, and if in fact they both were not in the right state of mind or they had been abused in some sort of way over and over and over.. that they are served a punishment not so strong and they get the treatment that they need... but if it was cold blood killing and they knew what they were doing... id say put them in jail till they are 20 - 25.. BUT im not a jury. and im still having mixed emotiuons baout what in my opinnion what should happen.... what about you.. what do you think about it?...

I refuse to give an opinion at this point in time, without ALL THE FACTS. I am a detail person, I have worked in the Legal Community and I know what ASSUMING and GOSSIP can do. There are just too many unanswered questions. A jury would be privy to EVERYTHING. And even be allowed to ask more questions themselves to ascertain the full story. Sorry. I just don't like to guess blindly.

This sounds like sociopathic behavior and both boys should be in treatment centers for life. These type of individuals, no matter how much "treatment" they receive will never be ok. They are sociopaths. If they are allowed to re-enter society at 18 more then likely they will kill again. It's a sad story, yes, but I'm not one that would support them re-entering society putting someone else at risk. Anora

xXxMikesWifeyxXx, I do not think that it is important as how to go about judging the 2 children who are being involved in murders they have been accused of. The reason being that we are basically not fit to do so especially when we are only getting the details from some media and not from the thorough investigative accounts of the case. However, I feel that we should try and draw invaluable lessons from whatever happened here to help our younger generations especially our very own children. How to avoid letting them take this path of devastation and no regards for another person's life. I'd say leave the judging to the people authorized and deem fitting to do it. Have a nice day.

As you said it woulsd depend on whether it was in cold blood or accidental. If accidental, I would still charge both boys with involuntary manslaughter and put them in jail for at least a few years. They need to elarn their lesson. They can take classes while they are in jail. However, if it was in cold blood, no matter the circumstances, I'd say until they're 25 is too good for them. If I had an 8 year old kid that killed me, I'd want them in jail for a lot longer than that! Even moreso, any child of mine would know from an early, very early age that murder is unacceptable, among other things. Therefore they would be fully and completely aware of their actions and would deserve any punishment they got. If my kid was a murderer, I'd be ashamed that they were even my own flesh and blood.
