hello everybody here at Mylot.
it is cold again here today in Middle Tennessee, only in the thirties for today's high this afternoon. burr. i am so ready for Spring time and warmer weather to get here. so anyways, i was teasing with my brother-in-law this morning and i told him why didn't he go out in the backyard and do an indian dance to wish for warmer weather to get here. lol the next thing that i knew, my brother-in-law opened the back door and proceeded to do an indian dance for warm weather to be here on the back porch! lmao i needed that on tape. lol wonder if any of my neighbor's seen him doing his indian thing out on the back porch like that? lol
so tell me, have you ever thought of doing and indian rain dance like that before? or do a dance like that and wish for warm weather to roll around? or have you ever just done the happy dance before? lol
thanks for sharing and have a beautiful day today!

GOOD FOR HIM.. I would have loved to seen that as I am a native aboriginal princess myself!! A chief even! You should have captured that.
We do have dances for every occasion, for rain, for stopping storms, etc.
Did the warm weather come? lolllllll

That sure would have been a sight to see hehehe. Today I started preparing to do my meeting with my members. Played with my cats, did my online buisness, chatted with friends, called my vice-chief, called another of my friends who is a chief also. and now playing literati..
What does a red star mean?

my neighbor is a school teacher &i'm always accusing her of doing snow dances to get out of school. if i thought it would work for warm weather to get here i'd be out doing a dance. sounds like your brother-in-law has alot of fun about him. that's great. like to be around people like that.

If it works let me know. If it does I will do an rain dance. We are in a severe drought here and sure could use a good rain, not just a sprinkle that don't even settle the dust and not floods. The farmers are hurting, they should be getting their grain planted now but not looking good for them.

lol i thinked that the indian dance on the back porch worked somewhat. today it is supposed to be almost sixty degrees outside, and tomorrow in the high sixties. whoo hoo! and get outside and do that rain dance! haha and so sorry to hear about the farmers needing the rain like that. thanks for the response.

I couldn't do that. We still need rain and a lot of it if we are to have enough water for summer. Last summer they had a ban on filling up swimming pools. This winter there is a ban on watering gardens with hoses sprinklers or drip systems. The only option is a bucket of grey water for the garden.
This year they are sure to again ban filling up of our backyard pools, and ban all water of gardens. OK, most people with pools have those $50-$100 inflatable pools, but even so, they take quite a bit of water.
I want rain and a lot of it. I also want a decent size inflatable pool. My kiddie boat shaped pool is only big enough to sit in. It's also the dogs pool and their outside water dish. I want water so I can get a 3 foot deep pool to float in. Small dreams, but it would be oh so nice.

hello thecatlady
get outside and do the rain dance! lol and i have a small inflatable pool in my backyard that i got on sale at a toy store here in town. it isn't deep at all but it is long and it is big enough to get in to get wet. lol that's about all it is good for, but the boys love splashing around in it in the summer time. thanks for responding.

Hi TnWoman! Hey if I thought it would work I would be happy
to join in! I have more than had it with this winter already!
It is back to the thirties here in NY too! I hate it! I am
so ready for the Spring! I had hoped that the weather would
stay a bit warmer and keep getting warmer! But, I guess we
will just have to wait a bit longer! I have done rain dances
before! I've never done one to make Spring come faster! Like
I said, if I thought it would work I would do it in a NY
minute!

Have you seen any of your neighbors since your brother-in-law did the rain dance? Would be interesting to hear what they had to say if he was seen on your porch.
I have thought about doing an Indian raindance and have done this in the past at a party. It was funny but didn't work! I would do it in the middle of our street if I thought it would bring warmer weather. Be3en cold here also.

Hi TnWoman,
The only time I've ever done a happy dance was when I fist got my laptop and then learned how to work my computer, yes I bet your brother-in-law must have looked rather funny but its fun. Love and hugs.

I hope his dance works - I sure did not like stepping out on the deck to take the dog out at 4 am this morning and being faced by the icy, slick footing!

Hi again Tn! It has been as cold as H-E-double hockey sticks here in PA, too! I havn't thought if doing a dance yet, but Imay have to try it soon! I just hope no one gets me on tape! I was working at me restaurant tonight and we could not even open beacuse it is such an old building and the heat wasn't kicking in fast enough. At 6:30 we called it quits because who wants to dine while wearing their coats? Have a great night!

Haha come to northeast TN and do your dance if it works!!! It was snowing here yesterday! I hate the cold weather. I can't wait for spring and summer. To answer your question though, yes, me and my daughter have been acting silly before and done a "rain go away" dance in the living room.

Hi TnWoman! haha..I sure wished that you had that on tape and showed us..It must be hilarious! I sure do the happy dance and the rain dance, our local style here being done by the local natives. My husband and I always have fun doing the steps and he also do the war dance but he just made the steps up whenever he is teasing me.
Take care and have a great day!
