February is almost gone so get out there and trim those rose bushes!
I trimmed mine back yesterday. Every year I trim mine in February so that I will have beautiful roses in the Soring and Summer.
They reccomend that you trim them about 6 inches above the ground. I didn't trim mine quite that far this year because they had such a bad year last year with the dry weather and heat.
So do you trim your rose bushes back in February? How far do you cut yours back?

I had forgotten all about that. Thanks for reminding me. I don't trim mine nearly as low as that, but do take most off to the cane.
What about climbers? I never trim those because hate the thought of having to start the long climb over the arch again. Do you know if they should be pruned back much?
